You didn’t say anything that’s why posted the link so people can get what you’re saying and see for themselves
Thing about DVOA, is that it usually is congruent with the eyes test. Ppg can be misleading as can yards per game. I heard a weird stat on a broadcast the other day..it said that the Carolina Panthers were 1st in.total defense. Shocked the hell out of me. I always believe that DVOA is the gold standard..something I do personally is add up total defense and scoring defense ranks and divide it by two. A truly great defense is overwhelmingly gonna rank high in yards/pts allowed. Also, def tds should be subtracted from the points allowed.

I agree. :salute:

It helps tell the entire picture and instead what the box score gives.
Salute. That is an excellent, pretty much foolprrof formula..its like WAR in baseball and PER in hockey. I got one for you..trying not to be bias, bt its the best example I can think of this early The 2010 Patriots were famously immortalized in the Bart Scott, "Cant Wait" speech. He said they cant stop a nosebleed, 25th in the league!! Yet that defense, that another defense chastised, somehow found a way to be 9th in ppg. Thats the downside of bend but dont break defenses. They allow you to march, with the intent of forcing a punt, or a drive implosion from a penalty, hildong them to 3, but what if the teams executes in the red area? Now youre in trouble

I don't see the chiefs making it to the sb. These close games will catch up to them in the playoffs.

Detroit has all the momentum. I think NFC playoffs will be tough though, as will the AFC playoffs, so who knows who will represent each side in the sb.

Giants and Bucs head coaches will be fired in the off-season.
You got to remember that the Chiefs offense has been seriously injury riddled. The top 2 WRs coming into the season played a combined two weeks. THen their new number one in JuJu only made it a couple weeks before going down himself. Also lost their number 1 RB, two of their TEs. They'll start getting more pieces in Pacheco and Juju back over the next few weeks and possibly Hollywood Brown by the playoffs.

Also Andy Reid is on tape of liking to keep games close so that the team gets that crunch time experience and keeps a lot in the tuck for the postseason. And even with as good as the defense has been the team pretty consistently becomes much improved defensively as the season goes along as the newer players get more of a grasp on Spag's concepts. So the team you're seeing now has another level it can get to.

After last year I am never questioning them again. Looked like pure shyt offensively all year really but especially down the stretch. Playoffs come and they moving that ball with ease against elite defenses...drops and penalties magically disappeared. Looked like a different team offensively. I believe thats due to Andy being more hands on come playoff time. The defense been solid the whole time and allows all of this to happen. They dont need their offense to be great to win...that aint common in this modern NFL. This year, I think they will be even better in the playoffs with Hopkins, JuJu, maybe Brown and a fresh Pachecho and Hunt surely still giving something.

I don’t how everyone couldn’t Rodgers was washed his last year in Green Baby. A lot of people were like, “Oh, it was the team.” Naw. Dude been washed.
I knew he was starting to get washed the year they had #1 seed and they lost to the 9ers 13-10 in Green Bay and the Pack defense ONLY gave up a FG....ONLY a FG. 9ers special teams scored a tuddy.

I'm willing to bet they won't win the Superbowl this year.

shyt I would put money on them not winning the Super Bowl. Winning Super Bowls are hard and take a lot of luck and things working out perfectly. But I still have them as the favorite as they've proven they know how to win games. They are one of the few teams that can win a shoot out, a low scoring ugly defensive games. They know how to grind out wins. Come playoff time defense is way more important and pretty much all the top contenders have shaky defenses.

Omenihu's off IR so he might take the defense up another level. Maybe Watson returns for the playoffs.

I think they're going to sign one these veteran left tackles who are sitting on the couch to bolster pass protection.

Bet. DVOA is the truth!! Tning is thats not the metric that the avg football fan, uses, though.
All round scores are boring people wanna understand why people are good. Not that people are good.

But I guess it’s good if you play fantasy football and don’t have time to follow mad teams closely all season
