just wait til you find out about WRs asking the refs about lining up in formations

You’re really gonna lose it when you find out coaches let refs know and ask them about formations and lining up too

Yes, receivers check with the ref see if they are offsides or not, and it's a simple thumbs up or quick step back motion
Yes, coaches inter act with refs about unusual sets/formations this is usually done BEFORE games as the coaches know there are few things they want to try or have been practicing throughout the week(see Dallas vs Det last season when Campbell said he went to the ref before the game to let them know and get confirmation).

Now back to my original question, again playing along with you as I don't believe Pat was asking about lineman formations.
If he was, how is the ref is suppose to let HIM know?

Usually lineman are going to report eligible or ineligible- the ref then goes and tells the defense.
After that, the ref has NO idea what trick you are trying to run, so they are going to let the play roll and throw a flag or not.

So are you saying after a lineman reports, the ref then knows what they are doing and runs in to stop the play from running or tells Pat directly to reset the formation??:what:

A win's a win's a win, but objectively, what the Ravens are doing isn't sustainable. This isn't the NBA and these aren't Doug Moe's Nuggets.

Still don't think the Bengals are done and I'm dreading seeing them in January.

Cards might be more than a pest in the NFC, they could be a full-on problem.

Daboll and Eberflus are dead men walking (saw that coming).

It was all jokes with the Broncos last year, but looks like Payton's quietly putting together a tough squad.

Who'd have thought the Commanders would be the most fun team to watch (and root for) in the NFCE?

Brutal L for Houston. How you gonna blow a 16-point lead v. a team that threw 5 picks? I root for CJ, so hopefully this won't derail their season.
Daboll is fine. They'll let him get his own QB before they think about firing him.

There’s no conversation to be had because the idea of him asking the ref to tell him he’s about to be tackled is fukking retarded to me :mjlol: there’s no point in explaining what he was more than likely asking about. We’ll just agree to disagree and you can believe you’re correct

It doesn’t matter eligible or ineligible, if you need to be on or off the line, covered up, etc. then that’s what you have to be. The starting RT is probably lining up the same way more often than not, so in a typical fukking lineup, he’s probably asking the ref to let him know, like they generally give players a warning or two before they throw a flag on lining up incorrectly. Like I said Chief-brain got you nikkas acting brand new.

So tell me, what was he asking the ref in your POV?

So if the RT is unsure of how to lineup in some cases, are you saying that Pat is asking the ref to tell him after each play?
As with WR who are lining up outside they interact with the ref, Pat himself can't see either, so how does that communication work to where a warning becomes a checking in before throwing a penalty?

Also miss me with Chief-brain shyt, I could care less, I actually feel it's Pat and Brady and then every other QB ever. Sports are entertainment to me, nothing more/nothing less.

I don't know what he was asking but tackles will usually have a run stance or a passing stance- so either an open outside wide leg or an half step back from the guard when passing and even on runs.
What else can the ref provide to Patrick??

This might be a hot take...

The City of Detroit has a fukkin' champion in the 2024 Detroit Lions. It really does. However... it is IMPERATIVE for Hutch to make a miraculous recovery or for Zadarius Smith to add something to the pass rush or they won't realize those aspirations. It's the only thing holding them back.

That Texans game is the exact one that team -- at its heart and soul -- is built and coached to win, and it's the type of win a Super Bowl champion would have on its way to the summit.
