Vilma said he's still suing Goodell for defamation of character.

:myman:

I have a hard time believing he'll get anywhere with that besides increased legal expenses and playing under a microscope for the rest of his career.

I respect Mr. Tagliabue's ruling in this case and consider the matter closed. I would like to note that the former commissioner did find evidence of improper behavior by the players named, so I don't believe it's appropriate to absolve them from all blame or to view them as victims in this situation.

In the long run, this will be beneficial for the league and the safety of its players. The main goal in all of this was to send a strong enough message to dissuade teams/players from even contemplating a bounty system in the future. From that perspective, I believe the league office has accomplished its goal.

I consider this matter closed and look forward (as do all the fans out there) to enjoying the rest of this incredible season of football. Good luck to your teams.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Damn, Tag shytted on his own boy like that.

Well good to see justice was served, I for one thought they were guilty, but I guess I was wrong.

I wonder if the coaches are going to challenge/file suits against the NFL now too, even though Williams admitted his wrongdoing.

Williams was backed into a corner. I wouldn't be surprised if Goodell put a deal on the table to lighten his punishment if he tells on himself and a few of the players. They just didn't expect for Vilma to push the envelope. In the end Goodell and Williams come out of this looking like they were conspiring to get Williams back into coaching faster.

Yall nikkas don't get T-Dog just made a power move to get the throne. John Gotti style:win:

Dude could have had it, he chose to resign. I think this does reflect real poorly on Goodlell, and in reality Goodell's tenure looks worse and worse as time goes on.

Vilma's going for his job....the owners already seem tired of this nonsense... I wouldn't be surprised if the owners told Tags to vacate them just to get this story to go away.

Goodell may have to fall on his sword:manny:
