Sorta, that season they had the 3 division winners and the team with the best record to not win their division seeded 1-4. I remember this well because the Bulls had the 3rd best record in the East, but got the 5 seed because the Pistons won the division and the Cavs were the best team not to win their division that year. The 15-16 season I think is when they threw divisions in the bushes.
06-07
IT WAS A REACTION TO
THE MAVS AND SPURS MEETING
IN THAT CLASSIC 2ND RD SERIES
WITH THE 2 BEST RECORDS IN THE WEST.
SPURS LOST GAME 7 AT HOME
SO IT MADE NO SENSE TO
bytch AND MOAN ABOUT IT.
A division winner going on the road when they havent actually fairly earned a home game isnt hurting or taking way from anything.Changing the seeding rules would erode the meaning of divisions and also stakes in the last week of the season when divisional teams play one another.

You know what does? Teams with average records resting nikkas because the less than average teams in their division let them lock shyt up already. Also elite teams resting nikkas because they were so far and away better than their division. Also adding regular season games. Also adding postseason games.

And that would all stop if they had a road playoff game instead of a home one?But they did. They won their division.
Maybe it's because my team is in a division where rivalries and bragging rights still matter but this shyt stinks.

How so? It dont matter no more because you on the road in the playoffs? Help me out. I am trying to figure this out.Yes.
Yeah and I'm glad you brought that up because that's something the NFL could try. Instead of re-seeding, keep the seeds the same but the team with the better record hosts the playoff game. Like the Tampa Bay/Washington game going on right now would've taken place in Washington because Washington had the better record. And Minnesota would host LA tomorrow.
WE WERE SEEDED 5TH
BUT WE STILL HAD HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
AGAINST THE 4TH SEEDED HEAT
WHO WON THEIR DIVISION

Disagree. If you win 8 games you're the 7th seed or not in. There needs to be an incentive to be the best you can be.Don't want. There should be a reward for winning your division, no matter how bad it is.
that would kill the NFLA conference system.
17/18 Games can still mean they play each.that would kill the NFL
Divisional rivalries and competition is extremely important. Imagine a season where the Cowboys and Eagles dont play each other. Or Saints/Falcons, Ravens/Steelers, ect...
It would literally be the beginning of the end for the league.
