pretty sure Joe Montana, Steve Young and Troy Aikman are still doing fine in their lifes despite multiple concussions.. But if they were to tear an ACL early on in their careers instead of getting concussions they might of never been the players they were and of course not be in the spot light we see em in now..

These three guys are fine, so who cares about concussions...nevermind the other players suffering unfathomable depression, life altering mental problems or even killing themselves...

The players can't talk like this and then sure when the NFL covers up concussion studies. It cuts both ways.

That said, I get where they're coming from. There is no simple answer.

NFL concussions were down last year by more than 10%. The league policy is working. If players want to risk suspension by aiming at the head, that's their prerogative. Get suspended enough and you're cut.

If we put up the stats of people suffering from the shyt against people who are living fine after the NFL (health wise), how land slided do you think the healthy side would be :ld:

cause your logic is that because I only used a few examples, yet we only have a few examples of people with post NFL issues caused from playing football :ld:

my brother been playing running back / kick off return for 20 years all the way up to the D1 football and then CFL, hes perfectly normal

but I guess because a few people had issues, then we should ignore the others that dont :ld:

I guess because someone got into a car accident today, I shouldnt drive to work tonight :ld:

"The result is a dramatically shortened life span: While white men in the United States on average live to age 78 and African-American men to about 70, “it appears that professional football players in both the United States and Canada have life expectancies in the mid- to late-50s,”:patrice: Harvard researchers wrote in a summary of their project."

*Puts on NFL commissioner hat*

*adjusts microphone*

"At the end of the day, hitting players in the head isn't necessary. It can cause undue hardship and lead to debilitating neurological injury, which isn't good for public relations and for which the league is now legally liable. As such, the league will now outlaw head hits and hunting. Players who want to put their careers on the line to head hunt--rather than obey the rules and tackle low-- can go work at McDonalds.Do we have an understanding breh, brehs? :leostare:"

"I hope so :skip:. I ain't playing around. "

Why do you care more than the players themselves?

whats the sample size because im pretty sure with the new equipment used since the 90s/2000s most of those NFL players are still alive

are they using football players who used leather helmets as the sample size :usure:

I refuse to have paternalistic attitude over players who have little to no caring about their post football careers after taking head shots. I don't get how others do it. They don't care

Go back to the old rules.

Let's be real....none of us are paying to watch these guys suffer when they get older. And I've always said that the people concerned about their later life are more concerned about it than the players themselves. Don't ask me to care more than them. They don't give a fukk, why should I?
:wow: What an attitude.
