They played Christmas games on Sunday it wasnt whenever Christmas landed on. Sternband Roger/Paul T had a handshake agreement on that. The NBA used to have thanksgiving day games but them and the nfl made an agreement to stop those as long as the nfl did not step on their toes

Pretty sure the NBA played Thanksgiving games until the NFL went to the triple header and added the primetime game on NBC
