NFL parity doesn't mean much, if you're a fan of a perennial loser.

Peyton literally did what LeBron did. Peyton was on two of those franchises you named who won the conference.

You can't even be honest in your NFL stannery, when you list the broncos and the colts winning the conference when Peyton was on both of those SB teams.

That's like me claiming the NFL has parity because the Cavs went to the finals after Miami's dynast. Duh!! LeBron was on Cleveland!!!

:camby:
peyton did literally what lebron did ? :dwillhuh:
peyton has been in 3 superbowls in his 17 year career, and in the final one he was below average replacement level qb

hows that even remotely similar ? :dwillhuh: :camby:

Did peyton appear 8/10 superbowls that decade?
He appeared in more than enough for one conference.

I meant he went to the title game multiple times with two diffirent teams. Just like LBJ with Cleveland and Miami. He went twice with Indy and twice with Denver. Not as many times as LeBron obviously. But the conference has been dominated by 3 QB's longer than the east had been dominated by LeBron. Imagine LeBron being 43 and the NBA blowimg a sigh of relief that his reign may be over like we did for TB and the Pats. Maybe I'm just speaking from a jaded phins fan perspective. Have y'all seen our division?

The NFL does have parity in that the only things that hold teams back are the teams/organizations themselves.

The revenue and salary cap is shared and equal, single game elimination allows upsets, players get hurt, and coaching can beat talent.

The teams that suck are solely their fault.

Plus, the Jaguars and Chiefs almost beat the Patriots a couple of times.

Outside of shared revenue, this seems to be the case with every sport. Incompetent GM's, bad coaching, tanking, laziness. The only difference between the NFL and the NBA is, ppl don't make excuses for the woes of an NFL franchise. In the NBA and other leagues, you're constantly hearing about the selfishness of star players instead of the ineptitude of owners and GM's. In the NBA, they place too much blame on the players instead of the owners. There's no accountability in the NBA for owners and GM's. It's quite strange. Of course because of the nature of the sport, one player can change a franchise in a greater way than can happen in the NFL. But make no mistake, in the end the NBA has seen selfish owners, dumb decisions, and dumb coaching, often being masqueraded as the league giving "An unfair advantage" to larger markets. We gonna let Sam Presti off the hook for trading Harden to Houston?

:mjlol:

That's just one example.

My Jets ain’t shyt. They haven’t made the playoffs since Obama’s first term and have been shyt for a long time. :francis:Haven’t won a Super Bowl since the Nixon administration. :mjcry:
Even though we got a qb we have an incompetent coach whose claim to fame was holding Peyton Manning’s jock strap in Denver. In all just like in any sport you need an owner that understands football and is committed in winning. The Johnsons only know how to sell baby powder and lotion and know jack a shyt about football. They should sell the fukking team. Next season we are gonna be 7-9.

Ive been sipping that "Hope" Koolaid for more than a decade. And each year the Pats/Colts/Steelers have smacked it out of my hands. This year FINALLY we got competent coach in Adam Gase, and we made it into the playoffs by a hair. But, when you're a Phins fan, or a Browns fan, or a Bills fan, the "everybody gets a shot, just have hope" narrative gets tired, once you see the Pats or colts or Steelers in the AFC title game again. To me, The AFC is no different than the NBA. Salute to the Pats though. I'm not mad at New England, nor am I mad at dominance, I just think the NFLs current model of trying to force teams into the playoffs and giving everybody a "shot" isn't working. All it does is sell false hope to a 9-7 or a 10-6 team, who might win a game in the wild card round, and then get smashed by the usual suspects in round 2. Might as well let the dominant teams be dominant. The power shift in the AFC ain't happening anytime soon. It's gonna be the same old teams winning the conference.
This post aged horribly. Thank god. :wow:

I’m a Bengals and Cavs fan I definitely appreciate the parity in the NFL. We legit went from picking in the top 10 to the superbowl. The Cavs have done a great job rebuilding post Lebron and we aren’t even at that level.
