NFL parity doesn't mean much, if you're a fan of a perennial loser.

At least we did make the playoffs this year. But my point about parity still stands. In the AFC in particular. Props to New England tho....

One thing that's amazing about football is they at least give fans hope. Like we all know our teams weaknesses. Through free agency and the draft the team will have new players in that spot, a new coordinator or a position coach. Something unknown that might actually workout! :lupe:

In basketball you could have a weakness (I.e my basketball team the Grizzlies and three point shooting) and it be the same weakness for 10 years. Because not enough or your roster turns over :sadbron: and players that would fit your need would never be available

Every year lions fans look at a seemingly easy schedule like "we can win at least 10 or 11 games" and then get hit with that eventual disappointment when september hits. :francis:
Honestly I can say the lions season was no different than the browns. Both failures. Actually you could make a case that the Lions season was worse because by week 12 the browns only goal was to win one game and the Lions were seen as playoff contenders who would win their division. The Browns won their game and the lions had a choke job of the ages :francis:

Fans of afc east teams other than the patriots can only hope that belichick retires fast.

Ive been sipping that "Hope" Koolaid for more than a decade. And each year the Pats/Colts/Steelers have smacked it out of my hands. This year FINALLY we got competent coach in Adam Gase, and we made it into the playoffs by a hair. But, when you're a Phins fan, or a Browns fan, or a Bills fan, the "everybody gets a shot, just have hope" narrative gets tired, once you see the Pats or colts or Steelers in the AFC title game again. To me, The AFC is no different than the NBA. Salute to the Pats though. I'm not mad at New England, nor am I mad at dominance, I just think the NFLs current model of trying to force teams into the playoffs and giving everybody a "shot" isn't working. All it does is sell false hope to a 9-7 or a 10-6 team, who might win a game in the wild card round, and then get smashed by the usual suspects in round 2. Might as well let the dominant teams be dominant. The power shift in the AFC ain't happening anytime soon. It's gonna be the same old teams winning the conference.

The saints were a loser franchise, so were the patriots and Seahawks and they've all become champions this century.

The fukking cardinals made a damn superbowl
NFC!!!! The NFC is the parity conference. Thats why I must say NFL parity is an illusion, rather than an outright myth. No one has any idea who could win the NFC next year. Your guess is as good as a psychics. But the AFC? No damn parity at all!!!! No one can convince me otherwise...
