.Flowers is an excellent player. He's not going to have the gaudy sack numbers that other pass-rushers do, but he is an excellent player. Not sure what he'll get on the open market. I think there would be a team willing to pay him $17-20mil/year. He'll probably have to take less than that if he stays with New England.
he was one of the best for a long time
He was very good, but I lots of people have said he's the best GM, and I just don't see that with him. His picks fell of hard over the past ten years. His 2007 draft as very good, but his Suggs and Ngata picks were both high first round picks, and he got Ed Reed in the first round as well. I give him credit even though they were first round picks as many GM's can't hit on three players like that. However, his last ten drafts or so have looked shaky.

With that said I always thought the Rams should have dealt Cooks for OBJ. OBJ has said many times he wants to play in LA. Cooks is the ultimate team guy so he fits in anywhere but he doesn’t have the #1 WR qualities that the Rams lack. He’s redundant with Woods and Kupp. OBJ is a 1 on 1 nightmare that can dominate any coverage. Bracket Cooks and he disappears.
