I mean do they have a choice? I’m not saying what’s right or wrong but what’s the move here if they don’t pay him? Trade him for picks (prob get a great haul) and draft another QB and slow down there chances to win a SB? Overpay for an average vet and use the 15M you save yearly to spend elsewhere? I’m not sure that makes them any better. Again I don’t know what’s right or wrong here

Bears are going to be in a very tough situation with Mitch next offseason. Ryan Pace is a great GM and aggressive/forward thinking so I’m curious how he handles this

Every team with a young qb finds themselves in this same situation.
Its "oh he's shown some promise but he hasnt been constantly other worldly, but we don't want to let him walk and have to go through the process of drafting a new QB"
It's a horrible situation for most teams cause you got these cap eaters who arent the best players on their team and arent truly proven.
That's the consequence of having a passing league tho.

I like Mitch but man I’m dreading this upcoming contract. We’ve built such a dope roster :damn:

Yep. Dude needs to at least look like he can be top 10 level to justify getting paid.
But as of now im offering dude an extremely team friendly deal and telling him to take it or leave it we can get somebody else to do what you do.
That's all based on if he improves tremendously or not tho.
The thing is these teams spend a high pick on a guy and don't want to let him go and would rather overpay for mediocre than admit they fukked up taking him so high and he never panned out

These QB contracts are insane. Everyone regardless of talent gets over $30 million per :what:

There’s no middle class. Jacoby Brissett is the closet thing to middle class but that’s only for 2 years...

You can’t pay every QB who starts for you $35 million per they not all on the same level

If he has 2 more games like he did last night, I'd go head and tell him his replacement is getting drafted. You see how bad the Jags were last year cause Bortles divided the locker room with how bad he was and basically wasted an all world defense. You dont want to be the jags.
Bears might have to eat the L of the picks they used on him. Cant have him closing the window

Can't wait for Sony "The best Georgia HB" Michel to have a 2005 Corey Dillon type season.:banderas:.

Josh "All-Pro" Gordon and N'Keal "T.O. 2.0" Harry to be the best duo this league has ever seen.:wow:.

And, with eight weeks left in the season, just for these Colts fans.......:mjlit:.

Dillon was washed in 2005. 3.5 yards per carry on like 700 yards
