It’s time to admit that the NFL has a QB crisis that isn’t getting any better.

These young NFL QBs ain’t it. CJ has regressed, Jayden and Caleb are struggling right now. If the best rookie QB is Bo Nix, there is a big issue with how these college QBs are being prepared for the pros.

These games today have almost been unwatchable compared to yesterday’s college football slate.

Or just maybe this current group isn't that good. Or just maybe they need more time to develop.

It doesn't speak to the direction that the league is headed in.

On that note -

It's interesting how you have this perspective of the NFL being "unwatchable" and going through a "QB crisis", yet we had cats in a thread talking about TV ratings saying that everyone is still watching the NFL because it's a great product.

there are 4 rookie QBs showing promise on the field right now with Caleb, Jayden, Maye & Nix. Two of those guys are helping lead their teams to the playoffs in Jayden & Nix. Then there are 2 more first round pick rookie QBs who haven’t even seen the field yet in JJ & Penix. This rookie class is looking very solid actually

Developing OL is a bigger issue than developing QBs, CJs "regression" is directly tied to his internal clock being wrecked becasue his guards get dogwalked down after down.

Expecting rookies (and <30 QBs in general) to not have growing pains is also silly, Caleb's bounced back the last two weeks and Jayden's still been solid after the unsustainable start.

the forward pass was born from desperation

it is like the 3 point shot in hoops

the more you put it in the air the more mistakes you will make

gridiron football centers around the trenches & running the ball

the only way to get away from that is to play 7v7 passing league no pads type shyte

the business interests of the nfl motivate them to seek out a certain type of "face" to head a franchise

there is only one position on the offensive side of things where they can find a wealth of players that fit the demographic they have in mind

they increase the importance of the passing game for that reason not because it makes more sense on the field

:sas1::sas2:

maybe i am just chatting shyte though..........

If there’s a crisis it’s in team building and drafting. CJ is still good but he’s playing behind a trash o-line. Daniels has played behind a questionable o-line all season and it’s finally catching up to the team. Caleb makes terrible decisions but his o-line isn’t great either.

A lot of teams took receivers instead of potentially elite tackles and guards. At some point you gotta blame GMs for being dumb.
