One of the GOAT shows of the 90s! Thursday nights on Fox in the 90s! Martin, Living Single, and then New York Undercover.

I can't see this show in the 2010s. The show was on a whole another level. The music, the New York clothing, the New York swagger.

Can you imagine New York Undercover with dudes in some skinny jeans and nappy dreads with a soundtrack of Cardi B, Migos, Desiigner, ASAP Rocky, or some mumble rapper?!

Yeah that’s my issue right now. Not worried about the actors or the stories. I’m worried about New York lol. New York ain’t what it was. The fashion, the music, none of it. If they want to keep it gutter just have cats like Joey b and Gunn and Conway on every week

This show made me extend my bedtime lol. I remember I was supposed to go to bed at 9, but I snuck and watched NY Undercover a few times and then promptly told (asked ) my parents that I needed a 10pm bedtime so I could watch this each week

They should just rename it Bronx Undercover cuz at least it would remind you of the old show

I think that too much has changed for it to recapture the original. The thing was that they looked like street dudes but they were cops. They fit with that whole aura of gritty NYC. But the streets themselves have changed, so the premise wouldn't be as authentic. Unless they make it more of going after older kingpins instead of midlevel and street happenings. In the end, I think that it would be so different that they may as well call it something else.
