It's been awhile since I've been in the Bronx. The last time I was there, I went to the Bronx Zoo, and the elevated station near it was like a trip to the past.A lot of the trains and train stations in the Bronx are surprisingly more updated than the ones in Brooklyn.
The trains and most stations are as clean as the DC Metro subway.Stop these stupid comparisons. NYC subways carry way more people, is way more extensive, and runs longer 24/7/365. Subways really aren't THAT dirty with that in mind
NYC subways is one of the oldest transit systems in the world. Over 108 years old. Secondly, when the subway system was being built, it wasn't city owned, it was different private companies building their own rails and their own cars. The reason why the 1,2,3,4,5,6 cars were different from the A,E,C cars which were different from the F,B,D trains. For decades these different cars couldn't run on each other tracks and the MTA just recently as in the last decade just got around to unifying all the tracks. Since the systems runs continuously and it supports millions upon millions of riders every day, repairs and updates take planning. Every weekend they suspend service or close sections. But right now they plan to close stations down to modernize them. NYC subway system was the prototype for all these other transit systems. And usually their governments or city municipalities foot the bill. NYC? Again they had like 6-7 different private companies running their own lines they way they wanted to until about 70s-80s I believe. You can look that up, I'm just typing this off memory of my own research.
probably the GOAT subway system....even as foreigner, that shyt is impossible to get lost on. be packed thoLooks like they took notes from Japan subway system
I always said, being an MTA cop, Bridges & Tunnels cop or PAPD cop is a GOAT gig as you don't have to deal with the fukkery that regular cops do....Speaking off what the hell does the MTA do with all that money?!
They got they own police force and shyt but for what?!

Anybody who calls a black man a c00n for joining one of those three police forces is a bozo.
The MTA Police mainly patrol the Commuter railroads, they have a lot of fukkery Friday & Saturday nights with drunk white people acting a fool on the trains.
Bridges & Tunnels cops I assume only deal with accidents and such. I mean how much crime could possibly happen on a Bridge? the tunnels only allow vehicles.
this is not a comparison. bart is a comuter rail. not a subway system. we have commuter rails too. Make your comparison of bart to the Metro north or the Long island rail road.
the subway costs 2.75 breh. bart is way more than that. our commuter rails are far more extensive with more stations in the city and in the burbs, they allow alcohol consumption, have outlets for charging devices and comfy cushioned seats. bart is antiquated compared to our commuters
Bro, you are misinformed
You can buy a Bart tickets starting at 1.90. Bart also has cushioned seats and you can drink on there too. How is it not a subway system
bart charges you for your trip distance. if your going from montgomery to powell yeah its 1.90 (for kids and seniors) but if your going from lets say pittsburg to the city its going to be like $7. bart is a comutter system designed to get you in the city from the burbs its purpose is not to get around SF.
you cant compare a regional commuter system to a subway system that is confined to one city.
