See that's why owning the land your home is on is:blessed:

And since my father's name is on the land I own and he over 65 :blessed:

Them breaks on land tax:blessed:

If you really want to own your land go to Africa. You don't pay property taxes and whatever just to keep your land. Stop paying in the U.S. and see how long you stay there. Yeah, you might have to go to a well and get water, but people go to the store and buy water all day here anyway too.

yep, the crazy part is that the city is banking on a transient population that is 9 times out of 10 likely to move out the city anyway so they are really doing all this for nothing. they're catering to a bunch of people who view new york more as a vacation spot then plan on going back home. all these people moving into those parts of brooklyn or nyc aren't staying or plan on doing so for the long term. they just go there for a few years and move to out to somewhere else be it another city or whenever. eventually, they are going to move back from where they came from or somewhere similar. so with that said, what exactly is the end game that's going on here? what's the master plan? i wouldn't be surprised if a sinister plot was behind all of this. probably to make one big fema camp on some siege shyt.

The end game is to make as much profit and to shift blame on to someone else. And the process continues despite the game being rigged. Those concentration camps already exists with the biggest ones like skid row being in cali, which is ironically the wealthiest state and is being hit hard by gentrification. And at some point such cities which are gentrification hotpots are going to be struck by major natural disasters so let that sink in.

last time i checked, the black people that usually moved or live into a low income area are often PUSHED there against their will and the areas that white people move to often are by CHOICE, all sanctioned by the government. this is why they have redlining, housing discrimination and etc despite there "supposedly" being illegal today. it's STILL happening. if you're black, have money in your pocket and etc, there's certain parts of new york, new jersey, connecticut and etc that you CANNOT move to because the real estate agents will straight up tell in their nice little way that you can't move here. there's a reason why certain towns have more whites and more blacks than others. it's institutional racism and classism at its finest. for reference, look up robert moses, levittown and white flight.

and yes, there are STILL sundown towns in the NYC area. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. you have to be EXTREMELY careful if you're black walking or driving in certain towns in new york, new jersey and connecticut after dark.
We all believe what we want.

That's why I said it's a government issue not a people issue. And so what are you suggesting? If you have no solution, why are you aiming at someone looking for one, attempting to seek one.
That's always been my gripe with you, speak about solutions breh. You are quite smart, let's have a discussion on what can be done and what can't be done with a theory behind it.
You're not looking for one you're just talking IMO. Its not a knock its just what I see from you and others. Its only so much you can do. I don't think we as regular people can fight the government and win.

I don't care about your gripes because truth be told anytime someone doesn't agree with you(general) folks have a way of trying to dislike/discredit them. This isn't the first time or the last somebody who I disagree with will have "problems" with me. My solution is the same as it always is and that's getting money instead of wasting time fighting something you can't beat in the long run. No matter what talks you have this trend is going to keep happening. I know people that have made 6 figures and more from buying, selling, flipping, repairing these properties. That's the best solution IMO to find a way to get your piece of pie of the changing landscape. If you disagree cool but that's what should be done not pointless IMO fights over areas that will always change demographics every few generations anyway.

Lastly I have no gripes with you. I just don't agree/believe everything you say and you're not special on that front. My own friends and family IRL will tell you I'm like that to them so if I'm like that to people I know what you think for folks I don't? You probably are a cool person but at times we are going to disagree and when that happens it is what it is. Nothing personal just how it should be instead of being phony telling you lies to sooth your ego.

Nah Southern people know the south is racist. It's these northerners that try to position themselves as more "savvy " when comes to institutionalize racism and don't realize they are on a concrete plantation.

They use Anti - Black rehortic that has been in the US lexicon for centuries. If you look back the Northern whites always looked down on Southern whites because of their proximity to black culture, black people and blackness.

Southern culture and the South is inherently low class to them. You have to ask yourself why do they think this?

Some of these Naive black NYCers ignorantly follow that rhetoric.

They don't fukking get it.
It’s about political representation. You’re not getting that in the south.

:ohhh: Now this is a theory, now I wonder what the tourist dollar is the city compared to it's local.

So your answer is getting money, so you basically have no solution but for black people to continue living in the midst of a middleman :russ::russ:
When the taxation is controlled by the same people, when laws/property tax rates surging in these areas are run by the same people

You are too busy perpetrating this strict ideal of yourself but a man of zero solutions. I can't follow or be behind someone whose idea of fixing gentrification is get money, make your profit from these chances :mjlol:

I don't pretend to be versed in all of this stuff especially with how the government plays a political role in this manner but at least I'm looking for a solution, hoping to talk to others offline/online about gentrification.

The government needs to be held accountable is all that I am saying especially with our affairs, other groups have them but we don't. That's the fatal flaw with our structure in situations like this.

I want more thought out of you, more solution based/theory of why shyt is happening. I enjoy having an opinion that isn't aligned with mine if we both have the same end-goal aligned to see other viewpoints.

Laugh all you want but I know people getting money from doing so so Ye shrug. You just one of these crying ass cats and I'm not on that shyt. That's why a lot of,y'all dudes come here to cry instead of dealing with shyt like it is. It doesn't matter who you want to follow but IRL not the coli I guarantee more people would follow someone getting money and showing them how to profit off of this instead of someone moving like a bytch begging and talking about talking. That's all cats like you do is fukking talk until the day you die just talk, talk, talk, talk. Talk away while others profiting and showing others how to do so since you think your talking esp on here really doing something smfh. Y'all nikkas lost

Do you hear yourself and why are you always bringing up other nikkas you know what are you doing breh :laff::laff::laff:

You are telling nikkas to profit off of gentrification like the real estate market is not dominated and controlled by a small majority who purposely get into a market to hike prices/property tax with the government right by their side co-signing all of this shyt.

Did you not listen to the video, they had 5 inspectors going through the multi-property to find a reason to force the owners to leave and you think they are going to allow brehs to be the major benefit of selling real estate in a gentrified area.
With your logic, I should just invest into private prisons :mjlol:

You also are proving you know nothing about real estate, I'm out :mjlol:

Please stop quoting me with your defeatist mentality - yo we can't stop these people just get some money bro mentality :scust:

I guess all the Black rappers, entertainers, black churches, politicians, and all other well off kneegrows, were all too focused on “more important sh!t” than to round up a measly(relative to their pockets) 120K and save this building?
If these negroes spent less time bytching about what Kanye is doing.

And put a little more focus on stuff like this. Maybe their new found "wokeness" would mean something. More than just hastags and social media post

In the Silver Lining
Wow.

Basically the city was almost able to take this elders’ home due to an unpaid water bill.

Never heard of something like this.

Will send it to homeowners I know in the borough though. If she had thrown that letter in the garbage (like many of our elders would), she could be in the street right now.

And you know who that house was going to be transferred to.

Philly policymakers are already on this game.

it's nowhere near as easy as you think. the real estate business is controlled by the government.

for the record

City to Bushwick: Displacement Not Our Problem

you already know what that means.
Maybe so. But advise, and even a guidance on how to manuever in this like say when they have to give their house. Where can they go and do. Still can still be useful by upper class blacks.
Instead of useless "woke" post and inviting cacs who say one thing to the "BBQ"
