Bloomberg is a dictator. To think all of this could have been avoided if he hadn't purchased an extra term.
lol you know what will save a large portion of lives between the ages of 18-21? Stop letting them die over seas.
So this isn't worth the effort? Do you let your children smoke?
It's neoliberalism. You educate, you don't take away the choice. No human should decide what's healthy and right for another human for something like cigarettes.
Libertarian bullshyt
I think its a great law if it comes as a packaged deal (educational outreach, substance abuse funding etc etc)
Real shyt, I was purchasing liquor over the counter before I was able to get dutches/blacks. If I remember correctly, they raised the age to 19 when I went to college. And because of that, all the high school kids kept jamming up anybody from college for some smokes. It was like trying to get into a rated R movie all over again.
I could only imagine being a fukkn JUNIOR in college and not being able to buy cigarettes. All those old as fukk high school kids messed it up for y'all.
I'm far from a libertarian.
Cigarettes aren't agent orange. They are a luxury that come with repercussions. Some of us smoke for the enjoyment, knowing that they shorten lifespan. They have existed long enough to have comprehensive information for any person of legal age to decide whether they want to do that to their body.
Next, let's ban football, coffee and beef because they don't fit into the whole yuppies, who are really just conservatives masking as liberals, idealism.
Cigarettes have killed more people than Agent Orange so you're right about that at least.
People used to think smoking was good for them and that was only 20-30 years ago wtf are you talking about.
Let not know what we are talking about and bother to write more.
lol
Cigarettes have existed MUCH longer than when agent orange was on the market. No, cigarettes have never shortened the lifespan of any single human within range of what agent orange did. Nice try though.
It's not about what's "good" for them because that's ambiguous and highly subjective. I'm all for their being restrictions on products that severely shorten lifespans and/or have very little information about their malignancy, cigarettes are not in that category.
Instead of restricting in this case, we should be educating and raising the price on this luxury.
You're severely in denial like most of your postings. @thekingsmen is this your alias?
