I always thought the destruction all stars team should be in charge of this. Destruction all stars mechanically and graphically is a great game, its just the overall gameplay loop is shallow as fukk, and the characters are corny.

Hopefully they keep the amount of car damage in it

Tell me how these two situations are remotely similar? Sony isn’t having a 1st party studio team up with a 3rd party studio to make this game:gucci:

They’ve also never referred to twisted metal as the first AAAA game
Nah nah, it was pointed out to you over and over again this is common place.

From triple a to double a games this is what happens. But you was focused on the co development part so heavily :mjlol:

Now Sony comes along with their 1st party game (that has always been co developmented or handed off ) and you don't see the similarities:mjlol:

No no no there is a difference between a 3rd party dev being the sole developer a game is contracted out to and a 3rd party developer being a “co development partner”, after the game was revealed two years ago already

Please break it down

Getting a 3rd party company to do a 1st party title for you completely

Or

Getting a 3rd party company to work with you on a 1st party title.

Over all the reasons a company does this are the same or very similar.

But please explain to me how the "co partnership" is worse or shows incompetency over completely handing off your IP.:jbhmm:

The difference is naughty dog, sony Santa Monica, Insomniac, Suckerpunch etc would never need another AAA developer partner on a game with them. They are their own studios working on multiple games at once, efficient and effective.

Microsoft has a long ways to go before they can sit at that table

There's no similarity here. Recruiting a studio to develop one of you dormant IPs isn't the same thing as what's happening with CD and The Initiative. How can you not see this? Like, if CD were the developer at the outset, it wouldn't matter. However, they're only being brought in after the fact to help develop this project.

Edit: removed salvage. we don't really know the state of the game.

Right.

Not to mention the game was revealed two years ago already and they are still in pre production. It’s not even like like CD is just being brought on to help finish it they are being brought in before even going into full production.

Ima move with the goalpost.

So your saying 3 of the purchased Sony companies no longer need outsourcing support although all of them use outsourced support:stopitslime:

Or are you saying that they wouldn't co developing is negative and you expected the brand new team just put together to drop a AAAA alone anytime before the next generation systems drop:ohhh:

All those studios are 10-20 of not 30 years old. They better be well oiled machines at this point :mjlol:

This is why gassing up a brand new studio is dumb and yall did it all year by bragging about all the industry poaching from those “well-oiled” sony machines it was doing

What is happening with CD and the initiative exactly:jbhmm:

What is happening with twisted metal?

Both of these instances are companies outsourcing.

Y'all are trying to make one seem worse than the other when it's Sony and Microsoft outsourcing at the onset of a games development.

We already know these games get outside assistance.

Peoples whole point was 1st party publishers get there games out sourced.

Then it went from Sony would never

To the developers would never

To the developers get help toward the end to clean up the games.:heh:

Which all comes back around to 1st party publishers get there games outsourced.:manny:
