Y’all reading too deep into it Flex is not well versed to know about local beefs. I don’t even think he picks the beats it’s DJ Juanyto.

Flex also has that same type of demeanor and mannerisms every freestyle he’s an awkward guy lol.
He came across like a pure jerk with his demeanor. Imo. I’ve seen him with other more mainstream artists and he seemed like he was stunting on dude a little. If he can’t relate, then they need to let another dj host the freestyle drill artists - it’s a different type of vibe.

The Ones: YL’s “Blown Away”

New York winter is bleak. Most of the time is spent waiting around in freezing temperatures for buses and trains that may never come. Manhattan rapper YL’s conversational verses are perfect for the dreary cold weather, as he finds brightness even during days that fly by without much happening. His lyrical and fashion-forward style—Yankee caps with the World Series patch on the side and jackets ready for the harshest weather—fit within a New York rap scene that’s rooted in the city’s past while still being modern. “Yeah you was very late, at least you showed up, I can’t front,” he says optimistically on “Blown Away,” the intro to That Was Then, the latest EP in a string of self-released records. Over a beat that sounds like a luxurious daydream, he raps about the small things—something good to smoke on, phone calls with a girl. Like everyone else in the city, he’ll make it through the winter just fine.
