It's been out since April 6th but since it's an indie movie good luck finding it at any major movie chains.

It's not on the 'net yet and won't be for a while.

After marinating on this, I'm struggling to find any pieces which are palatable - even to the point where I'm questioning their capabilities as filmmakers.

Benson and Moorhead bit off more than they could chew with this. Severely disappointed.

Those are strong sentiments that fly in the face from the collective critical praise circle jerk that I’m seeing elsewhere, which is on another level from Hereditary (which I enjoyed immensely) too. I’m about to watch this now so I’m curious to see where my opinion falls by the end

I finished it this morning. This was a really fun ride that fizzled out in the last 3 minutes of the movie. It was more thought provoking than I would have anticipated and presented some ideas there weren't necessarily new but put together made for a good experience. The CGI they had to use was trash. I think what I liked the most was that it didn't pander, it strings you along but doesn't necessarily cop out by the end aside from a dumb getaway sequence and shytty dialogue. Oh ya, it's also a Lovecraft story down to the DNA which was pretty damn cool too. You felt encapsulated in a modern day HP tale. Case in point
the scene when they're in the middle of the lake when breh comes back with the case and tells his brother to get back to shore. That simple pan out shot to reveal the massive outline of the creature under the water was :merchant: and felt like it came right off the page of one of his stories
