Again, what the fukk does that have to do with him getting paid to call matches great because you know...that was his job. That doesn't mean they WERE great. It means he was doing his job. What part of this is hard for you to understand?
What it boils down to is this:
JR's opinion > Yours

Uh...no. That's not what my point boiled down to unless you're a simpleton. It's not about my opinion at all. JR saying a match he was paid to call an all time classic doesn't mean it was an all time classic even to him. Taking the opinion of the person calling the match, getting paid to do so and say it on TV, doesn't mean much if anything to me. If JR watched the match from home, wasn't being paid by NJPW to do so, and had the same opinion, I'd give it more weight.

. Nobody is paying JR to lie about the quality of matches he calls. If everybody else including JR is saying the match was great-classic and you're the only one on the other side of the fence maybe that means you're wrong...
IDK what y'all are beefing about but what I do know is I just listened to the playback of JR calling the G1 Special shows and he was legit terrible. Had a few good JR lines but sounded Larry Holmes all around, forgetting people's names, not knowing Lethals finisher etc.

Let me find a clip where he called The Godfather vs Jeff Jarrett a classic. Or when he called Austin the greatest WWF Champion of ALL TIME about 2 months into his first reign. Or when he called Taker the greatest superstar of ALL TIME in 1997 when Taker had only been having real matches for less than a year. A man gets paid to say things, I don't take them 100% at face value.

Again, I don't know why you keep bringing up shyt I said a year or more ago as if it somehow has relevance to this conversation. None of that has a single god damn thing to do with not taking an announcer who got paid to call a match calling it an all time classic at face value. fukk. Ishii/ZSJ.....great match
I'm hot and cold on ZSJ, but both his matches were great. I give 4 stars for the Juice match and 4.25 for the Ishii match
