I just think there are far too many players in our lineup going through a slump. The only constants are Wright and Nieuwenheuis... and we are getting A LOT from Thole and Quintanilla right now.

We definitely need production from Ike and Murphy.

I'm not expecting anything from Bay or Torres, anything they give us is a PLUS.

Yea that a bunch of players slumping is the main problem, but the bullpen still hasn't figured itself out and we need to get more out of our regulars. The bench has been great really all season. Can't ask for more out of Hairston and Baxter (who we'll really miss). The only way I'll be ok with this series is if we win tomorrow and light Pettite up.

Terry has done a great job, but our bullpen is atrocious. Sandy better get on that.

Parnell hasn't really been garbage though. You gonna tell me that game in Washington where we couldve and shouldve been won was his fault? Today was another time where the defense has been killing us and it has been when Parnell is on the mound.

I don't know what Sandy can really do to fix this problem though. The only options that could replace people are Mejia (who is now scheduled be used in a bullpen role in AAA to then come up) and Edgin (whos a lefty and is doing alright in AAA).

Truth be told, after that 2nd inning where they left the bases loaded with just one out was the end of the game. You can't do that against a team like the Yanks


BTW pen help might be coming soon. They're moving Mejia to the pen down in AAA.
