New | Don Q freestyle with DJ Clue

Still not sold on dude. He sounds like every other NY rapper I bump into around the way. Cadence, structure, and lines all come off kinda generic to me.

The kid David Bars, that's down with DITC, is one of the few NY dudes that's sounding original these days. It's tough for NY right now. We used to have a ton of diversity, now most of these rappers sound the same. And they all talk about the same shyt.

I heard a couple tracks from David Bars dude is not nicer than Don Q lol, I guess you into the blipster appeal he has from being DITC. He'll never make it you have to have hood appeal to make it in NY, being some lyrical dude ain't enough.

I don't think Don Q sounds like every other NY rapper you can't link me to 5 rappers that rap like or as nice as Don Q. Generic is always the generic cop out when an artist just ain't for you.

Cam hasn't rapped on this level in a long time. Don's verses impress me just as much as Cam and the dudes that came before him. He comes from battling, he doesn't waste words, he rhymes his ass off.

I done sat through like 3 projects from dude and nothing stuck, he can rhyme though. I can hear the Styles influence but he still sounds plenty like Cam to me. I definitely wouldn't have associated him with Big's voice if it he wasn't rapping over that beat and emulating that flow.
