Man, this dude is one of the most amazing athletes of all-time.

I was gonna make a thread about it, but keep forgetting. Think about how much of a deadly shooter he was DESPITE having Tourettes and that twitch. He'd do it at the FT line right bfore shooting and still was one of the best FT shooters of all time.

IMO him not standing up for the flag was disrepectful to the people who died in the military etc., BUT his reasons were definitely valid.

I remember a while back on a documentary, he was talking about how someone burned his house down behind all this.

People in here can't be serious in thinking you can go to someone's country and not at least respect their national anthem and not be expected to be black balled. Common sense loses out it seems, and religious zealots wins(but your sport career and bank account loses). smh

He ended up standing for the national anthem in the long run. He had a talk with Farrakahn and he told him to go ahead and stand for the anthem cause there will be other ways to demonstrate his faith. Farrakahn hated the way he was getting killed in the media and public view at the time

i think its a little ridiculous we're always supposed to stand in silence with our hand over our hearts anytime the national anthem is played. like damn...arent there situations where thats inappropriate? or what if i got some place to be?

i feel like as long as someones not being rude then they should be left alone. there have been instances where i havent stood for the national anthem...or during the pledge of allegiance. just cause i didnt feel like standing. wasnt trying to be disrespectful but wtf at being forced to do somethin just cause some music is playing.
