All that needs to be said.

That want to stay paid, continue to be Vince's shuck and jive group, and make a living.

At the end of the day, they're condoning this. Would have been better to simply keep silent.

Now we know where they "stand."

You and Hogan have a lot in common :mjpls:

This post looks like da king also :mjpls:

Dude said this shyt as an old man with post nut clarity.
Can't accentuate this shyt enough. He volunteered his contempt for an entire group of people.

Let's not ever forget this dude had talked with his son in jail, and spent a portion of that time nailing down important details like not wanting him and his son to be reincarnated as black men.
Nah breh, you reading this one all wrong.

They're clearly saying fukk Hogan but they can't say it like that because like you said they want to keep getting paid & take care of their families. I can't be mad at them for that. We know where they stand.

Saying nothing is worse than saying something.
If you have to introduce that many qualifiers, they're not really saying anything.

And the fact they put this statement out like that's all they're gonna say, that to me says they won't even defend what they did say.

I'll continue to read them wrong, just like I'll continue to boycott WWE. I'm not accepting or normalizing racism regardless of the circumstances. Sorry.

You keep insisting you heard me say an epithet dozens of times in one game session.

Despite the fact that friends and enemies alike would vouch for me never having used that word, and having played with them for years and years...you are sticking with claims you pulled out of your ass.

Again, I offer you a solution:
You have no reason to lie, except continuing a losing argument, now having to fabricate details about my existence?

I tell you what...let's have a ban bet about it.

You get posters that vouch for me having said ANY racial slurs, I'll name drop people I played for hundreds of hours with, and whoever has the least support has to bounce.

If I was throwing that shyt around like you say, I'll surely be gone shortly.
You backed down then, I'm eager to hear your latest plea.

What should have been their statement in your opinion?

They should’ve said “fukk Hogan and fukk WWE for supporting him” and all quit on the spot. That’d show Vince.

They might have trouble supporting their families afterwards but at least they’d have the respect of anonymous internet neckbeards.

Anything but "we're kinda upset, but not really, don't ask us about this anymore, okay?"

Better than setting the precedent of acceptance.

Not sure how less Booty O's merch money is gonna put their families on their asses, but that's a mighty fine copout for not having to address WWE for normalizing racism.

I have no clue what you are talking about man, WWE has been a racist company for decades - as most of the wrestling business worldwide - if this kind of statement is a "precedent of acceptance", then just working for the company before Hogan returned was a precedent too.

See this the problem with a monopoly. When the company in power does something wrong their employees are at the whim unless they want to take a pay cut.

If the territories were still around or if WCW and ECW around, New Day could've said what they really felt without having to mince words to continue to make a living.

That’s assuming they’re mincing words tho. These are thoughtful intelligent brothers so you’re never going to get “man fukk hulk hogan” from them cause that’s not how they roll. It was always going to be a nuanced position that says sure put him in the HOF but from a personal standpoint, he means nothing to us and we don’t need to interact with him.

To your point tho, if a legitimate number two was around then they could just walk and let their walking papers do the talking for them if they felt compelled to bounce. Mark says it’s a 50/50 split with black wrestlers with regards to their feelings on this. Cageside cites someone who says it’s way more lopsided than that, leaning more towards most black wrestlers not being cool with it. Unfortunately they’re in a situation where they have to choose how to handle that and shoulder their responsibilities to their families. I wouldn’t want to be in that situation and I’m thankful I’m not
