I was thinking today about how outrageously cheap Netflix really is. Less than $10 a month for UNLIMITED MOVIES/TV.......insane

It really is a great fukking deal. When you consider that we used to have Blockbuster as the only option? 10 bucks was like 2 and a half movies the old way. No brainer.

Tv Shows are piff but the movies are hit or miss. Keeping my Netflix account but if they don't make a significant jump in the lack of quality movies titles I'm out.

I was pretty upset, but I never dropped service completely. Went to stream only.

DVD has a MUCH better selection, but I figure that with DVD, if you don't watch them RIGHT away, you pretty much are screwing yourself over because you have like a week turnaround and you'll pay like 10 bucks a month for 4 dvd's and you can never really watch multiple joints at a time. With stream, I can not watch something for two weeks straight, but than have a Saturday where I watch an entire season of a program.

I've had the stream for 3 years now and I have no complaints.

The complaints about that lack of movies is over exaggerated. People just want to watch familiar shyt instead of finding hidden gems or something new.

It's the exact opposite for me breh. Maybe it just depends on peoples taste and what they have seen already or whatever....but I personally find myself CONSTANTLY disappointed with the selection. Especially in regards to the foreign selection.

To be fair to netflix, most of this isn't their fault. Some companies refuse to do business with them, and that's sad.

They also need to work on user interface and the like. It's a shame that we aren't able to create separate folders, or even profiles, on our accounts yet. Also, shyt disappears without so much of a warning if you don't directly check the website (How about an email or im or some shyt when something is about to disappear from the queue?), and it comes back out of nowhere as well.

For someone who doesn't watch much TV, the selection on Netflix is more than enough to keep me happy and always find something new to watch.

I would have no problem with it if they were gonna put new movies straight to the streaming option. I still have the blu-ray option bc I want to see some movies ASAP, it's bad enought that u gotta wait dumb long for most movies to even be available on netflix...ur telling me I would have to wait for it to hit the streaming option and thats if it ever hits the streaming option.

While there's still room for improvement, their interface and how it functions is better than all the other official services out there, trust, as I've tried them all.

Regarding their streaming library, it's pretty decent, but I think most folks real complaint is the lack of newer hollywood blockbuster titles immediately available. For that stuff, you have to get the discs, to which still are typically behind in release date availability by at least 1 month, whereas blockbuster or red box will have their stuff same day as release usually.

Despite not liking the price increase (tho in all honesty, it's still quite a fair price to do both and their reasons are still quite understandable really), I still stuck with having both the streaming and 1-disc option (blu ray), cuz for 1. the aforementioned lack of newer releases streaming and 2. cuz I'd rather watch movies in blu ray quality anywayz. Their HD content is fairly good, meaning it looks decent enough, but it's no way blu ray quality in looks and damn sure isn't in sound, not even when they claim to have 5.1 surround sound. shyt usually sounds weak as fukk. Gotta turn the system to the highest setting just to hear anything and it still lacks the boom. I like the streaming for tv shows though, as it handles the viewing of them very well, specially with the newer continuous playback option and the fact that it saves your stopping point on ALL content watched indefinitely and in sync on ALL devices that you have your netflix account linked to (which I don't even know if they limit how many devices you can have your account on, as I have mine linked to a cell, 2 ipads, 2 playstations, 3 computers and still very little, if ever any hassles) is G and something that these other services like Hulu damn sure could stand to do better.

I just wish that Netflix could secure some tv station deals for current season shows available day after air like Hulu has with most of their tv shows. For backlog and old show purposes, netflix practically can't be fukked with right now, but Hulu kills them on current/new show seasons. Some exclusive content would be dope too I suppose.

Went to streaming only because of the hike, but I do miss the dvd option. Once a week I think of a movie I want to see, jump on netflix to see if it's on instant and 70% of the time I end up :sadcam:

That said, I always find something to watch, I and my kids use the streaming every single day. But I wasn't going to pay double just to occasionally rent a physical disc, shyt redbox is only $1.
