Was there a toxicology report done? Did she have any narcotics in her system (prescription meds aside)?

She may have been trippin on drugs. Sweet, innocent, curious and alone in LA/Skid Row is not a good thing.

No drugs or alcohol. Only thing in her system was her meds but it was so low that they determined she had been undertaking them.

West where the Sunsets
On ep 2. Bipolar and depression; Probably on trippy drugs. More than likely killed herself on accident. :ld:

Do shrooms stay in the system for long?

Just finished it and like I thought, she had a history of not taking her meds. She had an episode and I thought someone was after her. The psychiatrist they had said she was probably looking for somewhere to hide, climbed up to the roof and got in the tank. The hatch wasn’t secured and obviously water being used, made the tank lose water and she couldn’t climb back out. She took her clothes off due to hypothermia, what the cops didn’t say was that the maintenance man found the hatch open. That’s why these dumbass internet sleuths assumed she was murdered, and that the LAPD was in on a conspiracy.

This was a study in the stupidity of people and conspiracy theories IMO. That one Metal singer they tried to say killed her wasn’t even in the country and had stayed at the Cecil the year prior. Dude tried to commit suicide because of the accusations, and his music aspirations were deaded because of it.

unless you want to watch an episode dedicated to youtubers filming hallways while the documentary’s crew film them doing that ...... then stay away.

I think between this documentary and all of the QAnon nonsense that’s been going on elsewhere in life, these are both pretty good examples of people wanting to believe in something (in this case conspiracies) so badly despite it flying in the face of all logic and reason that they lost their heads entirely. Atleast the difference between the web sleuths here and the Capital storming idiots is that the Elisa Lam groups started off with good intentions, but overtime lost the plot in favor of subscribing to whatever theories about her death they individually believed until they actively began slandering and harassing people, namely that Morbid singer. It’s mob justice played out on a virtual scale and it could’ve cost dude his life, especially when he was wholly innocent. I don’t think he necessarily helped his case with the masked video he put out but he also shouldn’t have had to defend himself against such accusations to begin with.

On another note altogether, it’s pretty fascinating to me actually that a guy who was so into death and macabre shyt was basically bullied over an actual death he had nothing to do with, that in turn drove him to try and commit suicide as well. How someone who seemed so comfortable and enamored with the morbidity of life had it turned back on him in such a way that it almost cost him his own.
And I think actually an underrated theme in this documentary was about the magnetism of life, how the energy you court and give off in turn comes back to you. One of the talking heads had mentioned how the Cecil was the breeding ground for suffering, and it did (unbeknownst to her) indeed draw in Elisa Lam who was suffering from mental illnesses, and ultimately was the location of her demise. Similar for the metal head, who spent most of his life chasing that darker energy just to have it eventually overwhelm him, albeit through no fault of his own.

They just kept spinning the tires on this :skip: just kept getting a bunch of random YouTube nikkas without jobs saying the same shyt. It would have worked better if they tried it establish some sort of paranormal base by talking more about the hotels past. Instead they go back in time for 10 mins and start rehashing the same shyt from the Lam case :camby:

Yeah after watching the documentary she clearly was out of her mind and having an episode, jumped in the tank and couldn’t get out, ain’t nobody drag her up a ladder and throw her in

Disappointing

Can someone explain how these web sleuths have so much free time on their hands? Dont these nikkaz work?

Lol at the one dude being extra emotional when talking about Lam. Like nikka she didnt even know you :mjlol:
Losers man, nikkas probably don’t worry about their own families like that and they so worried about some girl that didn’t even know them :mjlol:

Even the chick's own posting on Tumblr let u know the deal

She wrote shyt like she knew she would end causing something bad to happen and end up dead
Her diary like posting made me not even care about this bih
She knew she was fukked up
Purposely didn't take her meds right
And constantly placed herself in bad situations

Only part of the story I don't quite buy is she got to the roof through the fire escape...

That ladder at the top of the fire escape is a good 10 feet to the roof, hard to believe she climbed that in her mental condition...

She definitely used the door to the roof IMO and they lied about the alarm working...

I was really looking forward to this doc as I followed the story when everything was going on.

I figured the documentary would answer some more questions in detail, specifically her actual mental health/family, etc. Obviously all the tumblr posts and those that followed post death would be there.

But I really hated half the EPs for the amount of fodder they threw in their just to create intrigue/mystery. The hell do I care about these two losers: youtuber and the web sleuth. Web sleuth guy acting like he had a crush on her or something.

I can understand putting the Morbid guy in there, and glad he did the sit down to show what pieces of shyt people are, that just cling to some rumor and start with the death threats. Even worse that his video at the Cecil was A YEAR PRIOR in 2012 and wasn't even at the time Elisa was there in 2013. They just see "Feb" and assume. Just unreal.

The foot theory had to be the stupidest, since you can literally see in real time that it's her own left heel turning the corner as she leaves the camera view of the elevator.

Naturally the entire debate of the tank cover was finally clarified right at the very end. I also think she didn't go the fire escape route and went the stair route. Hotel seemed so sketch I bet even if the alarm was going off, it was just a trip indicator at the security desk and he ignored the shyt, lol. The hotel manager was just too extra with her storytelling, makes you think she was auditioning for a potential acting career. Every doc seems to have that one person like that.

I think what I took most from the doc was just the utter creepiness of the Cecil and it's history overall from construction. Didn't know much about it prior to all this.
