This has more to do with the fact that netflix has saturated the fukking site with too many god damn shows in an attempt to keep the consumer on the site via binge, but it didn't work, people are very particular with what they'll binge and how long they will. So they have 200 shows, and only 35 are popular, some shows get 1 or 2 eps and then the consumer moves on. It takes an effort to finish off a season. You're looking for a movie then notice its a tv show, you move on, you don't want to invest on some shyt, you just wanna watch a movie with a date.

So now what they're trying to do is, allow you to 'speed pass boring parts' of a show, in an attempt for you to watch more shows. This now makes the efforts of the writers and overall production disrespected.
