It's an added option that caters to consumers. No one is forcing you to watch @ an increased speed. It's the creators that are salty.
Otherwise known as the people Netflix needs to provide them with original content with more and more studios starting their own streaming service.

Hulu, Apple, Disney, HBO, Amazon, and CBS looking at this shyt with the:mjlit:

People are gonna be watching stuff in FF and dropping reviews while missing all the nuances that come with cinema. It’s already hard enough to trust sources related to real life issues these days, I don’t think this is a good thing.

Apparently I already had the feature on my phone for a while, but just noticed when these complaints started coming out. Not that bad at all at 1.5x speed, was expecting chipmunk voices but sounds pretty much the same. I probably wouldn't use it, but I could see why someone would.

There are more creators than platforms. And not every creator is going to hear yes from their preferred platform so yeah Netflix will be fine. :yeshrug:

I again don't agree but I also know kids of friends who watch full length movies on their cell phones on the bus.
The content doesn't stream well and with the small screen you can't tell me that they are getting "the full experience." when they view it this way.
Does this method bother anyone ? - maybe this is for younger brehs I reckon.

i do it with podcasts and even sometimes youtube videos, but they aren't meant to be cinematic. i don't know if i would do it.

maybe for standup specials or an interview show.

I assumed it meant cut out certain scenes in a tv show kind of like a previously on " ". But speeding up a shows speed sounds stupid a lazy.

It is an option I would never use but if people want to ruin their view experiences for themselves, be my guest. Just more reason to never take any opinion besides my own facts serious again.

At 1st i was like whats the point but then I thought about all those times ive dropped a show or lost interest in it because netflix waits 2 years to drop a new season and i forget what happened previously.
I think its a good idea to have it for some folk who wish to scroll through a previous season for a reminder
