8 year old makes sense to me. My two nephews were more than fine with phone/tablet/Switch games till they hit 11. From that point forward they wanted a gaming PC or a PS5 because that's what the people they watch on Youtube talk about the most when it comes to games.

Probably true to a degree it's all about smartphones for kids these days, it's mostly people 25+ who care about consoles other than Switch.

And I say that as someone that's literally owned every Playstation console and will buy a PS6 if there is one.

I feel like every kid i know has a console and games regularly. Arguably more than alot of us did because our parents sent us to play outside during the day.

Son of a friend of mine and my wife's, he's 12 now but I've known him since he was younger, he'd stop playing his phone/tablet games as soon as them joints got too laggy.
