I'd say this ruling 'amazes' me but I'd be lying. I'm more disappointed than anything but NOT surprised.

Not one expert has watched those confession tapes without calling it obvious coercion and yet the this court somehow ruled that pretty much all the suspect bullshyt we saw was in no way problematic. Tf?

shyt like this is why I will forever be indifferent when people hype up cops wearing bodycams or call for more "departmental transparency" or some shyt. Those surface measures are meaningless. Wtf good does it do to have taped evidence that PROVES law enforcement was a fault (in whatever capacity) when the courts will still dismiss it?

Public outrage, clear evidence of misconduct and obvious corruption can and WILL be ignored when the state either wants to keep someone in jail, or prevent anyone from being held accountable in a death.

Tamir Rice, Brendan Dassey, Eric Garner, Daniel Shaver, Mitrice Richardson, and Kelly Thomas (and so many more) are all evidence of this.

Video Shows Officer Fatally Shooting Unarmed, Pleading Man

And this Arizona shooting pretty much sums up your point. They was looking for any excuse in this video to kill him and got away with it.

Yeah, I mentioned the victim in that shooting (Daniel Shaver) in my reply. It's sickening. You could see and HEAR how eager Brailsford was to kill on the tape; everything from his tone to his language made it clear he was purposely trying to escalate the situation to have an excuse to shoot and in the end he found one.
