One of the lawyers said that one of the reasons why SA got fukked over is because they never perused an alternative theory.

The thing is, the fact that he's the only suspect (in both that he got put in prison for) is fishy as fukk. Theresa's ex boyfriend and Brenden's older brother Bobby both looked suspect as fukk in that doc, but they never turned their attention away from SA.

If he walks free:

1. They come up off that 36 mil...out of pocket more than likely because of the insurance. '
2. Everybody involved is ruined professionally and financially. Some of them may even do time I would think.

Anyone else catch the fact that the insurance in place didn't cover the officers (Lenk, Colburn etc) and that they would be DIRECTLY responsible for any compensation money? He probably wouldnt have got anywhere near the 36 mil, but even if he got 5 and that shyt had to come out of the investigators pockets..think about that shyt..what more reason would you need to set someone up?

to my knowledge the officers would not be directly responsible (i could be wrong). It would be the police department (aka the taxpayers) who must pay the bill. They were a very small county though I'm not sure if they'd have enough funding to pay

yeah they touched on this during the series but only bery briefly
All of these people involved have bond insurance.
The cops, the judges, the prosecutors and so on.
If they are proved to have violated that bond the bond company is going after them for reimbursement and they are personally liable.
This isn't pocket change you're talking $250K just for a patrolman and the high ups are bonded for millions.

This is why a cop, a prosecutor, a mayor, a city councilman etc. would go as far as killing someone to protect themselves. What detective has half a million dollars in a savings account or even in total assets?
You also have a man given 18 years of false imprisonment and these people typically win in the high 7 figures sometimes 8.

They been doing it to everybody, it's just easier to get off on us because there's less sympathy from them and the general public.

The truth is the Government and it's gestapo got everybody number...making it a black and white issue is the easier thing to do and works in their favor. I was just talking about this shyt last night HOT as fukk thinking about Sandra Bland and how I would love for her case to get this same treatment, long shot but who knows...this shyt is kind of a hot topic though.

After reading thru much of the evidence the doc omitted, I'm far less convinced of Avery's innocence.

Explain. My main thing is if he did kill in the garage as the DA said, then blood traces should be there. Another huge red flag that people might forget was that deputy Colburn guy calling in license plate number and saying out the type of car it was but said he wasn't there. Cmon man. And then of course all those tapes of interrogations of them coercing a confession.

:leon: I didn't know this.

Let us go back to the blood evidence, I mean ol'boy Link was the one who signed the document papers for it. So he knows exactly where the Avery blood evidence is held. He shows up to the crime scene for what reason? since Manawato County is not investigating the case.

I believe they did it. Mainly because of Brendan. I don't care how dumb he is, no one could talk me into anything, especially admitting to a murder I didn't commit.

I also believe everyone signing the petition was on that Kony 2012 wave before realizing the director was a weirdo.

I saw a lot people on Reddit bringing up the Colborn call, the documentary made it look nefarious the way it was framed, and his reply didn't do him any favors. But I could interpret it as just confirming the plate/vehicle details. Not saying I'm 100% correct in that interpretation, I'm just not seeing how OMG it was like everybody is making it out to be
:wow: When you poor, there's no hope.

As we know, when you black and poor it's even less hope. I was going thru my podcast archives and saw The Black Guy Who Tips podcast discussed MAM last week. Rod made a good ass point, "why does it take Netflix or a documentary (Staircase/MAM) or a podcast (Serial) for people to give a fukk about justice?"

Especially with the way our people have been getting murdered in the streets. Why can't we investigate the Trayvon/Zimmerman case or Tamir Rice. This shyt is truly relevant NOW, not some old ass cases 10+years ago. I'm not usually the "move the goalposts and let's look at a black situation" guy, but the way he talked about that was on point. It just reiterates and reinforces what we already know tho, most white folks dont care about these black murders at the hands of police.
