ehh

if those younger folks were interested, they wouldve pressed up one of the 2726363 biggie docs that are already available by now.

Not necessarily. And there's still a lot of younger people who never have seen a Biggie documentary and will be watching this one. More younger people finding out about a Hip Hop legend is never a bad thing imo. I just don't see the negative to it.

There's plenty of people/topics that have multiple documentaries and if I'm interested I watch, if not, I don't. I just don't see the issue, it's not like anyone is forced to watch the dead horse get beat.

If people had a legit argument against it, than maybe I'd understand the critiques better. But it seems people are just upset because there's been other Biggie docs, and to me, that doesn't make all that much sense.

I mean I’ll check it out off the strength of it being about Biggie but I’m just waiting for documentaries to be made on other legendary rappers beside the usual but I’ll check it out.

younger people grew up with everything at their fingertips. if they wanted to watch a biggie doc by now, they would have. they certainly know who biggie is. hes not a new name that theyre being introduced to for the first time.

and yes, it is being forced to watch a dead horse. where are all these documentaries on other artists that youre referring to?? homeade docs on youtube or obscure platforms dont count.

I love that title.

It makes me wish we could get a movie with some of his storytellin songs acted out in it.

I still SEE the "I Got A Story to Tell" frame by frame just off the way Big conveyed it. I know I'm not the only one who pictures a simp walkin up the stairs with 2 drinks in his hand lookin like:mjlit:

None of what you're saying is a logical stance against doing another one. There's people growing up now that may have heard the name Biggie, but don't know his history, and weren't pressed to watch docs about it when they were younger, that may be interested now. You're really not making a compelling argument against the doc. Nobody has yet to tell me a legit reason not to do it. Him not being a new name is irrelevant, they may have new interest in watching now and don't know/care to search for a documentary on him that came out 14 years ago. There's mad documentaries about every topic in history, nobody is saying stop making historical docs about

You know how many Kurt Cobain documentaries there are? Madonna? Amy Winehouse? The Beatles? etc...come on. These white artists get mad docs made about them, and nobody complains. I don't get it. And how are you being forced to watch it? You can just not turn it on, what are you talking about?

cmon now.

the kids know biggie & 2pac. those legacies are still being shoved down the public's throats. they stay with docs on TV. their biopics are still being aired. they take up the majority of throwback airplay, etc etc. if they havnt watched a biggie doc by now, its because theyre simply not interested.

people dont complain about white artists with alot of documentaries, because tons of other white artists get documentaries everyday b. very few stones left unturned.
black legends dont have that same luxury, ESPECIALLY HIP-HOP where hip-hop history is dam near non-existent. so of course, your average rap fan is gonna be frustrated whenever they see yet another biggie or 2pac documentary coming out, simply because of when & how they died.

biggie is one of your favorite rappers, i get it. but lets keep it a bean.

Everywhere...You never there.
:deadhorse:they havnt said anything new about him in 20 years and his story aint deep to begin with. they had to drag other people's name in the dirt in order to make his biopic interesting.

only stuff you didnt hear about him, is the chit that will make you look at him funny.

then they'll just regurgiate the same names over & over via different albums from the same ole artists.

no thanks.

the rap audience gets treated like flies drawn to lightbulbs.
