This really isn't complicated. Had Jay not:

1. Criticized other artists for working with the NFL 9 months ago. 2. Not included anything about "social justice" in the public announcement of the deal.

He would be getting like 5% of the hate he's currently getting.

It's very simple. This move just makes me understand Jay is for Jay. There's nothing wrong with that, but he shouldn't have been the one forcing people to make a choice based on principles then pretending like it isn't a big deal less than a year later.
