Kap wasn't serious enough about his own cause to not settle so who cares what Jay z is doing with his business ventures in the NFL when he himself is still trying to do business in the NFL.What isn't making sense?
Colin Kaepernick's chosen profession is playing professional football. That is what he has chosen and worked towards doing to make a living for himself.
There is only one employer in the United States at which Kap can practice his craft, and he is being denied the opportunity to do so because of his political views. He didn't violate any league rules. (This is obviously excluding the New XFL, which has already announced rules inspired to prevent Kap's protest )
He's still trying to play in the NFL because that's the only fukking league. That's the best way for him to make a living for himself.
Jay-Z's primary chosen professions are celebrity husband and rapper. He also has a robust portfolio of other income streams that have proven to be quite lucrative for him. So much so that he is now a billionaire.
The issue Kap likely has, is that Jay Z has been very vocal and supportive towards Kap's cause. His wife even made a rare public appearance to present him with the SI Sportsman of the Year Award. Even gave a speech phrasing him.
Jay Z has also been very critical about black people not supporting his streaming service Tidal, and suggested that corporate racism has hurt his company from gaining success.
So.... To see Jay Z sign a deal with the NFL, which is NOT his chosen profession or primary source of income, as well as a company that Kap is at odds with because of racially motivated mistreatment, all while Jay has been complaining about racially motivated mistreatment in the music streaming business, appears to strike a nerve.
I see why Kap's mad.
But now because he can't start, he don't wanna play. Take the bench nikka
