Need round about budget
if hes super young, laptop might be more efficient for something like roblox, minecraft, etc. plus has video cards built in so its already set.
9th grade, 14If he under 10 just get him a playstation and save $1000
Only one B, rest A's. But our agreement with him is all A's for a phone knowing the next levels of fukkery it can bringyeah, not to criticize anyone's parenting, but why get him a gaming PC if his grades aren't good enough for a phone?
NoAre you set on it being a laptop?

I haven't built a pc in 20 years breh
Sounds like a good father-son bonding opportunity
Was about to order a prebuilt computer, this is what I noticed
1.some builders aren't giving details/brand about the motherboard
2. Some are installing one memory sticks
3.I seen a couple high profile builders use some memory brand called OLOy ........... the dahell
4. seen some with inferior and slow CPU coolers...... I seen one cooler look like a damn athlon xp cooler
5. undisclosed PSU information and brands
Honestly buying pre-built may be more practical right now anyway because of the GPU market. The stuff @Goldz-n-hoez looks decent. You could do a lot worst than a 3060Ti. Your son probably doesn't need a high end computer and you can upgrade parts in there as needed (like an additional SSD)
yeah, the problem with a lot of pre-builds is they will cut corners wherever possible. they'll tell you what CPU and GPU you're getting, but the rest is a mystery. it's best to check out independent reviews, youtube, etc, to find out exactly what you're gettingWas about to order a prebuilt computer, this is what I noticed
