need advice. my 17 year old cousin on the wrong path. (no duck tales)

He lives with my aunt. never had a real father. we do not live in the same state. he lives in georgia. does bad in school. hangs out with the wrong crowd. he doesnt care about going to college.

treats my aunt like shyt. stays out all night. tried talking to him last week but he didn't listen.

everyone else in the fam giving up on him except my aunt but i refuse to.


what do i do?

It's too late. He's too far gone. Tell him that if he doesn't listen to you he will regret it. Then in 10 years he'll feel sorry. Some people are smart enough to not have to step in shyt to know it's shyt. Others need to step in it. Others need to swim in it. Obviously he needs to drown in shyt to know it's shyt, but by then it's too damn late.

You would have to really be around him to help. Phone convo's are the equivalent to a day at a Scared Straight program: might help for the moment, but the ADD kicks in and he gets overpowered by peer pressure. See if he or you could make a visit, and show him life as a adult with goals...hopefully it sticks. Proud of you for trying to help, breh...
