I write to you today with a broken heart and a shattered soul, My name is Dawn Peters I am from Rhode Island. Several years ago I was diagnosed with a reproductive disease that left me unable to bear children of my own. Life was very lonely for me for a long period of time until a wonderful man accidentally entered into my home. That man's name is Floyd a 3 yr old stray taby cat. Floyd you see gave me something which mother nature so cruelly has denied me, the opportunity to be a mother. I am writing to you now though not out of pitty or sorrow but out of desperation. My beloved Floyd after a routine check up at the animal hospital has been found to have rectoanal polyps. The veterinarians now tell me a series of test need to be performed which includes blood, urinalysis and a colonoscopy. These procedures they informed me will run me upward of $1,458. This dilemma has shattered my world I am single women who works a part time waitress job , I have been trying to pick up more shifts at the dinner to no avail, so I plead of if you could donate to help save Floyd anything will be welcomed, I too am doing my part and saving a few dollars a week but I fear will not be enough . I have attached a picture of my handsome man so you can see the goal we are working towards. Now I would like to thank you for taking your time to read this mother's letter.
