Those are not good at all for walking or running, those are shoes designed in the 80’s.

The ones I use are from ASICS, they have a lot for different price ranges. But generally they have the amazing technology at really good prices. Plus you can get them on discount a lot.

I use these for running and long range walking. I’ve had them almost 3 years and put in over 200 miles in them:

Or if you want more stylish colour, the 26’s

Asics are nice, though I’m not sure about those models. I want something both functional and attractive.

Didn’t Nike catapult to success in the 70s after designing sneakers for marathon runners? Why is the the fact these are a resissue of an 80s model problematic?

The technology has changed and advanced so much more since then. You could even buy some Nike runners, but the problem is they aren't stylish, but practical. I have a tonne of fashion nikes including AM1's, AM95's, AM98's and I just feel 100 times more comfy in more modern shoes, in particular ASICS.

How much walking do you plan to do?

Initially, around 4 miles a day.

Yeah bro, I like others in here thank you should get pro running trainers just to help your ankles, gait, knees, hips, etc.

I don't know where you live but ASICS have a Gait test in store and I suggest you put comforting and stability over fashion for your 4 miles - then change into something drippy later

Yeah you won't be running in those Nike you posted. Their for style, the Brooks posted wouldn't be good either. There are a bunch of good Brooks to run in though.

Nike Reacts are good shoes to run in. Adidas Boost starts to bottom out too quick. Brooks Levitate are good runners also.

i used Gait test runners and do run shops.

people in here saying you can't walk around in retro shoes are full of shyt. I hike for hours in many different shoes. new and retro. as long as I know the shoe and have wear tested it.

No one is saying you can’t, but it’s not going to be as comfortable wearing AF1s (as an example) for running VS a 2020 running shoe model and longevity.

I also hike in 720’s, but they doesn’t provide the same comfort as my specific running shoes

Air Max are not good running shoes for multiple miles a day. A good running shoe that has the same look of Air Max's are Hokas. Their most popular line are the Clifton 7s. I run in asic and brooks but Hokas are more stylish.

AF1's were never made for running and are barely good on the court so that's not even a valid comparison. Air Max light were... all the info being regurgitated in here comes from the elitism in the running world. A lot of these other companies crutch on the whole idea that they are the professional standard but pro athletes train in whatever they find suitable. I used to outfit NBA brehs and NHL brehs... I have packaged kits for olympic athletes. I did workshops on running twice a week. we had a gait analysis scanner on sight. This was in the mid 2000's (:flabbynsick:)

This was all done primarily because at the time like most of this thread people had got comfortable passing around bad info that is standardized in the industry. I did knowledge sessions at product launches speaking to media... If it were not for nike forcing a lot of these other companies to innovate they would have been selling you the same shoes for an eternity lol. this whole idea that shoes can't look good and be highly functional is not congruent... it is a byproduct of close minded elitism in the running world. stop falling for the bullshyt.
