Nah, I don't think that was part of the equation at all. There is no history of any guard in Howland's offense just chucking as many shots as they want. Farmar, Afflalo, Westbrook, Collison, Holiday, none of them got the green light to be gunners. Don't see it happening with Shabazz either, which is why I was surprised he went there. Seems completely opposite of his mentality. It could be a good thing if his reasoning was because he felt his game needed more structure and guards coming from Howland's program seem to have some really solid success in the league. I'm keeping a close eye on his progress though, because the Pistons need a wing scorer in the worst way. And while I wish we were this bad when Wiggins was coming out instead of Shabazz, if he shows a consistent ability to put the ball in the basket effectively and has a go get it mentality, I'll take it.
