It isn't competition. On any level. The Big 3 competes with the Harlem Globetrotters, those And1 style tours, the WNBA. Relatively cheap summer enjoyment. If the NBA was really petty they wouldn't let the Big 3 use arenas that the NBA uses. They'd play at every Bumblefukk Coliseum in podunk towns.
It's like anything that requires promotion. Cut the check.
The tournaments themselves never stopped.
