We all watched those games and saw how the team desperately needed someone who was willing to be a facilitator other than Draymond. I see an addition right there, plus he actually does have a good midrange game. In no way, shape, or form would Trae have been worse than Dame.
No doubt, they needed more playmaking, but not at the expense of their defense, which would've happened if Trae was there. There are plenty of other playmakers that could've been added to the roster which wouldn't have sacrificed their defense to the same degree.

Trae is arguably the most physically limited defender in the league, and is reliant upon NBA-style officiating to get into rhythm. That's not a good fit with international ball. I don't know who the hell came up with the idea that Team USA needed him, but it couldn't have been further from the truth.

I know this gonna hurt y’all but all the guys y’all think this will hurt. It’s not gonna stop them one bit

We all for scoring but do it in authentic ways. Defense is being handicapped by these rules..and the offensive players are rightfully gaming these rules. They'll find other ways to score. Trae young and all these guys getting these fouls off pick and roll are getting them because they are tremendous shooters so more often than not defenders are getting baited.

Chris Paul does the rip through one

I'm a wizards Stan and I was saying Brad Beal to me is dope because he's not scoring in obnoxious ways that's reliant on the refs.

With all the nonsense that was posted during the Olympics, the fact that folks were campaigning that Trae should've been selected was the most wild shyt of all. Just a complete lack of awareness of how Trae's game wouldn't translate, and the fact that he would've been targeted on defense on every possession.

Me and some others only wanted Trae because Dame was just so bad out there, and Dame wasn't playmaking at all.

But overall you're correct he would have been exposed badly.

Will the refs call it tho???

I think some the instances are obvious. But the rule prior even if it made no sense to the players was that it had to be called as a defensive foul. I think it'll be easy to spot. Just look at the videos I posted with Trae and Chris Pauls moves and you see how obvious those actions they do are and the fact that those are the exact type plays the league is trying to get rid of and it'll be for the better. No one wants to see manufactured foul fests.

he’s been targeted on defense since he came to the nba :dahell:

he still puts up 30 ppg & 10 apg.

nikkas really think he gets all his points from the free throw line? :mjlol:
@Gil Scott-Heroin, you my breh and forever will be but why do you refuse to see how good Trae Young is. It's like you overly focus on Trae for the negative shyt. The negative shyt is real but breh might be the best half court player we have ever seen. That's why he's such a nightmare to deal with

His offensive value especially in the half court is out of this world elite. That's the part you refuse to acknowledge.

The only dude ya'll was right about was Dame in regards to the rules change. Harden just became more efficient in getting guys to actually foul him (and age and his conditioning seem to be catching up to him)
