They will never fully enforce that off arm hook rule. Jordan was the king of that starting 37 years ago. So, nah.

Oh, and y’all still doubting Trae after all he’s done? He got away with what everyone else got away with. He’ll adapt easily and y’all will be entertained again on his next playoff run:wow:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
You know god damn well this wont be applied to the established players.

:russell:
I will believe it when I see it, they also made a ton of flopping rules and that was horribly enforced

While I agree there will always be superstar calls, this is different from flopping. Flopping is reviewed after the game for fines.

These rules are FOULS now. You pull some of these moves and that's a foul on you. You risking that with 4 fouls in the 3rd? You wasting time doing that pump fake and jump into the guy, when it may cost you your 5th foul? You got 5 fouls and it's crunch time, you gonna try any of that bullshyt on offense, knowing a bad call will get you out of there?

It's gonna be fun

Right or wrong Many players have manufactured fouls on three pointers off the pick and roll when players go over the screen and then the offensive player suddenly stops.

Also the hooking of the arm trick is prevalent. Hardens a master of it on the drive. So much so that I think he'll still get his foul calls. When the defender is sliding with him and got one arm low and one high. Likely the low hand is the trailer hand and he just changes direction while bringing it down from low and his hand is already under the defenders with no way for the defender to get it out.

The guys defending Trae I get it you are hawk fans but he absolutely does the stop suddenly of the pick and roll

He's such a good shooter I'm sure he'll be ok regardless

But one of those rules specifically refers to him

5-star, dapped, repped, and the refs BETTER enforce this shyt.

Y'all want more defense, this is a step towards allowing defenders to actually defend without having to worry bout being scammed.

I've been seeing that arm-hooking trick since Stockton did it in the 90s. About time.

Watch the second video I've edited into my post and it's almost comical how he does it in the exact same way every time

Some of those the ref seemed to be blowing the whistle the moment he did the move before defender had even made contact. :scust:

When you chase him behind he suddenly stops. When you try go over the screen and get skinny to shoot the gap he immediately goes up. It's clever but it's funny as fukk considering the defenders in many of those clips have their hands behind their backs because they know he's about to do it.

As mad as he is about not being selected for team USA I wonder how much he'd get away with in fiba play.
