I hated the pick at the time, but he was the best player available and he has turned himself into a player over the years.

Deron Williams, I thought he was a fat ass 1 dimensional chucker at Illinois, now he's arguably the best PG in the league

Anyone remembers Quincy Douby? The 2Pac look alike?

I thought he would be a good player in a 6th/7th man role

Almost too ashamed to say....but I wanted the Bulls to draft Beasley over Rose and keep Gordon :snoop:. I would have been fired if I were a GM on that one.

You obviously didn't watch what he did against Arizona in the Elite Eight. That game probably catapulted him from mid-late 1st round pick to 3rd overall. It definitely made Luther Head a 1st round pick.

Ain't gonna lie, I was like  when he went that high as well as ahead of K-Love. Thought he wouldn't be much more than a defensive stopper w/o a true position, although with crazy hops. Never saw this coming. :guilty:

On the other end, Rashad McCants. Never thought he'd be a perennial All-Star, but figured he'd have a legit 10-year career as a solid role player. I know nobody liked him, but I didn't expect him to fizzle out of the League that fast. Maybe I put too much in that Carolina pedigree. :yeshrug:

(Actually, seems like most of that '05 UNC class outside of Felton kinda disappointed....Marv, May, Shad. :sadcam:)
