Kwame Brown - I actually thought he would eventually put it all together and just needed time to develop. I thought him, D12, and Stat would be the premier big men in the leaugue by now.

Eric Gordon - even though this mufukka stays hurt, I slept on him heavily in college. I thought he was primarily a jump shooting Juan Dixon type. Same with Steph Curry but I slept even harder on Steph.

Stephon Marbury - I used to think Stephon was a franchise player. :manny:

JR Smith - Before he landed in NY, I thought my dude Swish had better handles. His ball handle is shaky and needs improvement.

JJ Redikk - Thought JJ would be outta the league now. I'm impressed he turned himself into a solid NBA player.

I would like to add I was NOT wrong about Trevor Ariza. Knicks fans on Sohh were so excited his rookie year that we had an athletic player that could dunk on people that they were calling him a future star. I never got that from him and said his ceiling was Tayshaun Prince at best. I don't think he's even matched Tay. Prince made at least 1 all star game.

I was wrong about Channing Frye. Very Very Very wrong.

I thought the Marbury-Francis backcourt could work. :pachaha:

I thought QRich was bringing his athleticism to NY. :pacspit:

I thought I hadnt seen AI play his last NBA game. :(

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Kevin Love - in no way shape or form did I think he would pan out. I still don't think he can carry a team to a championship.

I knew OJ would be as good as he is now. He is still the perfect compliment to Derrick Rose. Chicago should have signed him.

Zach Randolph is another surprise. Thought his attitude and weight would stop him.

Anderson Varejao. I've never seen a big develop this well after he turned 30. I remember people laughing at Danny Ferry for resigning him to that contract. Turned out he is way underpaid now :manny:

John Wall is everything I thought he would be.

Roy Hibbert, Ryan Anderson, Kenneth Faried, Marc Gasol, Greg Monroe, Joakim Noah, and JJ Hickson also come to mind.

I thought - or actually, I let Don Nelson convince me - that Marco Belinelli was going to be better than Jason Richardson. Same with Brandon Wright.

I thought Amare would be an MVP caliber player :snoop:

Those first couple of years with Nash/Run & Gun Suns/ before his knees went sour......That version of Amare is still one of the best athletes I've ever seen a the PF position.

I'm not talking no project shyt neither.Dude had great hands and touch around the basket. He was very efficient at putting the ball in the basket.....even had a damn near automatic J.

But his combination of speed, power, agility, running the floor, jumping ability, AND finesse.....I'd never seen nothing like it.He moved like a 2 guard with the first step of a PG.

I thought he was on his way to modernizing/redefining the PF position

Them knees always get you, though:mad:

I thought Rodney Carney was gonna be a champion. Length, athleticism, shooting...:damn:

I said on the day of the 2011 draft that Cleveland would rue the day that they passed on Derrick Williams. I said he would be a 25ppg scorer by year 3, really wanted them to get him and Knight. I was only part wrong there :shaq:

Jameer Nelson and Delonte West - Altho they were killin shyt together in the backcourt at St. Joes, I didnt think either would be shyt as a pro. Thought both were too undersized for their positions but both have been solid and Jameer even has an all star nod to his credit.

Christian Laettner - I thought he'd have a storied pro career. :childplease:
