This NBA vs NFL ratings war been going on the Coli for approximately a decade now:lolbron:

The NBA was just a flat out better product on Christmas Day in comparison to the NFL :hubie:.

As a fan of both leagues, I watched a bit of both yesterday, and the NBA delivered.

The NFL is really stretching its product with Christmas Day games and then pursuing an 18 game season down the pipeline. As a viewer, I would prefer that the NFL goes back to 16 games, with only the Thursday games happening to kick off the season and on Thanksgiving day (I get trying to showcase every team, but TNF has been very hit or miss, and it’s mostly a miss from my point of view), and Saturday games only for the playoffs. NFL should be mainly on Sundays and Mondays imo. I think that formula would enhance the product, give the fans something to look for, and better for the players health.

That game sucked from a competitive standpoint but you still get fan buyin because:

  • Lamar broke the rushing record for QBs
  • Impact to MVP Race
  • Impact to AFC North

Are you trying to politicize this? For what?

This is what you do when you don't have a real argument. It's cool if you or people on the Coli feel NBA had the more entertaining product today, just like you need to accept the ratings say NFL.

Be insecure because Goodell came into your holiday and stole viewers.
It's all political honesty. I don't know how you can be a black person and not see that

There is NOTHING football as a sport can do to replicate the dramatic tension of a closely contested basketball game final minutes

Back & forth
You against me

Lakers vs Warriors proved that last night once again
i get it that theres some cultural love surrounding football and its fun to drink and eat watching it . Basketball is way more face paced, and like you said "you against me". It still shocks me that there are certain pockets of the country where white america just does not fukk with it at all.

Playing 3 games in 11 days is rough.

Only the Lions and Cowboys do that shyt regularly (Thanksgiving). They know how to prep the players and gameplans for that situation. Other teams are gonna be more hit & miss, so you'll get some lopsided azz results.

What makes it worse is that this is Christmas, so dudes got even MORE wear & tear compared to November.

Feel like the Chiefs are gonna steamroll to the SB but Detroit/Philly will stop them. I trust Detroit more because Philly seems mentally weak with Sear E. Yanni. The minute some shyt goes sideways, you know AJ gon get on his bullshyt.
