Your really low on Miles if you compare him to Jeff Taylor, players like him were never as productive or skilled as he was in college. I get how you think but I think the league values some of the things he’s good at. Elite Athlete, NBA Frame, Shooting Touch especially from the corner, ability to attack a closeout. All things minus athleticism that most athletes in like Jeff Taylor struggle with. A more fair comparison for Miles is similar to Jabari without the upside, but much better defender. I actually believe he’s turning I to a sleeper.
i think the league values that shyt on an analytics and measurements standpoint but that's how you end up paying convincing yourself to throw bags at guys like covington

i'm not even using jeff taylor as an insult either - the guy was a physically gifted and could play his role extremely well... he just got hurt. I just have a HUGE problem with dedicated drafting role players in the lottery. Give me a bust that learns how to be a role player before you give me short Jae Crowder from the jump. There's nothing dynamic about Miles' game. He's not fluid, he starts to pout when he's not beating up North Florida Tech or whatever, and he stayed in to get better and raise his stock and..... this is what he had.

I'm good on that. There's nothing Jabari about his game other than they're both lightskinned.

I disagree with you about Carter as a passer. I'm just a huge fan of him and have a bit of a bias. I enjoy watching skilled PFs/Cs. I've seen Al Horford comparisons but he's nowhere near Al on defense. Carter is a solid man to man defender down low but needs to improve his lateral movement to guard the perimeter. I really have zero doubts about Carter offensively. His defense needs work but the tools are there. I watched almost every Duke game too. I definitely need a site I can go back and rewatch games.
Al Horford intangibles is what makes Al Horford. Al Horford. Without it, Al might as well he Buck Williams. I watch all Duke games. He ain't no Al Horford. I see Brook Lopez. Just more nimble, better shooter and better rebounder. Lopez as a prospect had a better post game but not by much. I think he fits the modern game. He will struggle to defend in space.

But his BBIQ is extremely impressive.

Agree 100% breh. @42 Monks everything about Miles Bridges is MEH to me. I've never been a fan of his or understood the hype. Maybe shyt will change going from college to the pros but I doubt it. This is a reason I'm happy Sacramento moved up. I wanted no parts of Meh Bridges. Told people the last 2 years Mikal Bridges was better.

Wendell Carter at 19 is already better offensively than Dwight Howard has been in his entire career. Wendell is nowhere near the athlete and defender Dwight was tho. I don't like the comparison. Did you watch Carter play?
That's impossible to say as Dwight had the size, athletic ability and the strength to be way more u unstoppable than Carter. Lopez is more skilled than Dwight but he never shown enough to be a star.

I just want Michael porter for the hawks at 3. I wouldn’t mind zhaire Smith at 19 either. Actually if both of those happen I’ll be pretty elated

Forgot that you are a Duke fan as well. That's another thing that I love about Wendell Carter Jr. He's incredibly intelligent. Coach K was saying he's one of the smartest players he ever had. Was looking at going to Harvard before declaring at Duke too. I just don't see any way Carter can be a bad player. Same with Bagley.

I want no part of Miles. Feel like you can get everything he does from D-leaguer or second round pick. There's nothing he does that Jeffrey Taylor didn't do better in college.
I dont see Jeff Taylor at all. I actually see more VC, not the extreme elite athlete but a better shooter with elite athletic ability. I think Miles Bridges contend for ROY. I like him a ton. Not for my Hawks but I like him for teams like Orlando or even the Knicks

Jeff Taylor was never the prospect Bridges was. He wasnt close.

Better off trading back and picking up assets. Too many question marks with MPJ. I'm not taking him top 3 over the other players with no injury history and plenty of college tape.

I agree. Both players can start today in the NBA.

There is no asset that will help us if we fool around and pass on Bagley. I actually like MPJ. I think he has elite potential on offense but his health is a serious topic for any team who takes him

The explosion and physical makeup are where they compare. Both great leapers and both can take contact and bounce off of you. A characteristic that I’ve always been high on. I think Miles walks in and is better than Crowder in two years. That’s his absolute floor to me.
