I was hoping EA basketball could bounce back this year. Competition between companies only means a better product for us the consumer.

360 users already lost baseball, the football games are nothing to brag about, so EA basketball being pushed back can only be viewed as a bad thing.

the only thing i'd give live over 2k was the courts always looked better; and a couple of the faces looked more real. Otherwise when the actual game starts; its just trash.

No, no, and no. The arcs in development that Visual Concepts has done with 2K and Tiburon has done with Madden are stark in difference. The NBA is not the most popular league in the country. The NFL is, by far. However, Madden isn't the best selling sports game in the country anymore, 2K is. Since the inception of the 2K series on the dreamcast, they have been the better game, sometimes it has been close, sometimes it has not been, but they have always been better. Personally, I think that they have skyrocketed in recent years, both in gameplay and prestige. I can't see 2K getting complacent, because their role in the company is different than what Madden's is.

it wasnt FUN playing 2k YET. and it wasnt because it was so realistic. they didnt get the fun factor down pat yet. it took a few years post dreamcast.

I dunno. 2k11 was the best 2k ever. but 2k12 was a step backwards due to the shytty online and horrible CPU AI and overall cheesyness.

Not sure breh. They definitely regressed with the courts. Hell, imo, even though the graphics are overall better now (players look more like themselves) the game looked less cartoony in 2K7/6. They abandoned the somewhat grainy effect they had, and also slacked on the court. 2K7 had it perfect to me.
