Several yrs ago someone asked Jamie Foxx about marriage and his response was "i want to, but how do you know?" and what he's saying is that when ur in HIS position, how can you truly know if someone's dreamy eyes aren't solely bc of your bank account.

But let's say we are in Jamie's position. Let's say we meet a gold digger, but she still does her wife and motherly duties. At that point she earned her piece of the pie.
Now if the man marries a woman who just lays on her back, that's 100% on the man.Honestly I think the gold digger angle is overblown. A vast majority of women want love at the end of the day. Money only goes so far, especially when they get up in age.

They have that Disney fantasy world view of marriage that we were all indoctrinated with since we were naive kids. Unfortunately for these simps, some of them stay naive into adulthood. There’s no convincing them. It’s like trying to talk to one of these Trump supporters. There’s no convincing them of ANYTHING being wrong with Donald Trump because the cognitive dissonance is entrenched into their rotted brains and there’s no saving them. She's wrong, a lot of women think they want to be wives. Most have never been around a wife or husband in real life. Being raised in a single parent home, there's so much you have absolutely no idea that goes on in marriage. My parents are still married and i'm clueless on a lot of things.
Paul is right. Marriage was originally about survival and combining resources. We're in a soft world right now and women dont really need a man to survive. A lot of them fanthom that 2, 50k incomes can provide her a better life than her 50k a lone.
But Trump is pushing the working class into a hard world. And that will changes sooner than later.

After being involved in and/or listening to enough conversations around this topic, outside of devout religious beliefs (which I won't judge and I'm not mad at), this honestly seems to be the main reason a lot of dudes are still gung ho on marriage.
The numbers and the facts don't lie, but a lot of these dudes just don't want to hear it
