This happens to me too. Them takeovers activate outta nowhere. I'll be taking off downcourt for a fastbreak, then all of sudden i switch to another player and fukk up.

VC has been around since 2k13 if they wanted to add micro transactions to it they would have already. Right now you actually earn VC from playing those other modes. I would be shocked if they changed that. Even Madden hasn't added micro transactions to their franchise mode

You laugh now but when it comes to the game modes you play you gonna be one of the first ones complaining. Once they figure out how to monetize myleague it's a wrap.

I play myteam. I have some decent players already
- I am not a MyPlayer guy and I still think the MTX are bogus. That aspect is one reason I refuse to touch it and ignore it altogether. You can't possibly expect them to wave the white flag on them though so long as the money from that model continues to pour in, however. You had dudes that were furloughed during the pandemic spending hundreds of dollars so they could rank up to a 96 and their avatar could wear a Jordan jersey in a virtual park.
Until that changes, they aren't going to cut the practice out -- not out of the kindness of their heart. They also know they're the only game in town for those who want to play AAA basketball games. Sucks, but they ain't changing unless the majority of the fanbase does.
- Loving MyEra. Went with the Kobe era. Getting a game every two days or so. Don't plan on simming anything. I still might split Kobe & Shaq, though. Oddly, I want to keep the first three years or so as close to what actually happened as I can. Shaq's status is "Delighted" & Kobe is "Jubilant" with the team right now so we'll see what happens.
- Still too much sliding online when playing D, imo. I know they said there's a way to "shade" the offense but in my experience, it feels as if nothing has changed.
