I’m hearing shooting is horrendous(sim play, PNO). Basically leaning more into the silly green perfect release mechanic. Is this true?

I like the fact that you have to green shots in order to make them.
If you want to take a bunch of stepback or contested 3s you will probably have a bad time. If you take shots players would take in real life you will shoot realistic percentages if you're good with shot timing.

Hard part every year is finding the sliders for this. High key tho the great thing is you can do a mycareer in basically any era now.

bruh he complimented EVERY aspect of the game but essentially rated it down to a 6 bcuz ppl are willing to buy VC and he’s not…his sole literal complaint was everybody else reaches level 90+ faster and it’s not “fair” he has to grind…unbelievable

When you lock a game mode behind a paywall (mycareer) in order to enjoy it without grinding for 150 hours then yes the game deserves a lower score. We're all adults here. This game isn't respectful of our time. For the anti consumer shyt it deserves a 6.

I've grinded most 2ks from 13-19. And recently 22. The cash grab here is more blatant than ever. They took away endorsement rewards which used to grant 1000s of vc. Quests used to give 1000s now they give 500 vc for playing 30 nba games..
Cmon man yall there's a difference between a bit of grinding and being pushed to frustration so you'll resort to buying vc. The $100 version of this game doesn't even come with enough vc to hit an 80 overall lol.
And you can't say I just don't wanna grind because I've been playing Myteam instead and I'm halfway through domination and picked up the Donovan Mitchell card that required all them agenda items...
The mycareer this year just isn't good.

Yall myplayer lovers rate the game based off one game mode. Mfs mad cuz they not a 99 rating yet but the game hasn't even been out for a week.
All of the quests and the story is stupid af to me but I'm not gonna really bash the game for that because the core gameplay is great. I probably won't touch mycareer for a while. But that doesn't mean the game is trash

The mycareer is 2k biggest game mode
The grind isn't fun.
The quests are not fun.
Gameplay is good but locked behind the dumb ass story line for like 10 hours.
There's a bunch of posts on reddit with people frustrated about this game mode.
If the point of a video game is to provide fun then if a game mode has mechanics that are not fun doesn't that mean the game mode isn't good? If mycareer wasn't in the game I'd give it a 9. With the game as it is now a 7. I feel that's fair.
I understand why they rated a 6, 2K need to call out but at the same time I understand why 2K did this cause yall idiots keep buying VC for MyCareer. I respect 2K hustle.
