I really need to green release a wide open shot to make it? Keep that nonsense in that bullshyt Park mode and out of the 5 vs 5 modes.

Can’t speak for everybody else but

We grew up playing nba games where you just released at the top of the jump and mastered the timing of different jumpers

I’ve always turned off the shot meter, always thought it was for people who couldn’t shoot

Just found out recently that apparently you get a boost from shooting without a meter

That's actually where it's most needed. The MyPark shyt should be where the arcade like b/s flies. When I'm running a Player Control game or a 1 on 1 with NBA squads, ultimately the user with the superior skill with a team/player should have a distinctive advantage. You get so many people that went online and chucked randomly with players and teams they had little experience with and got away with it because "Slightly Late/Early" releases went in on a coin flip. The fact that they miss more often than not currently is great. The shooting hasn't even changed at its' core. It's literally just releasing directly before the player begins the forward motion of the wrist, with slight variations depending on how contested the shot is. Most who are still struggling competitively are watching the shot meter and not the wrist of their shooters.

Im in a 5 hour questline where I'm following a soci media star who walks like she has a disability to 3 different locations to dance on camera to unlock the ability to choose my game day jerseys

And I might not even be halfway through this questline yet, I've been playing at it for hours.

This shyt is actually miserable. Whoever decided quests were a necessary portion to do before you can play NBA games should be shot out of a cannon

I started ignoring quests in myCareer in 2k22... All this extra stuff I had to do when all I wanted to do was play ball... Every time I would go back to the crib, the roommate is wanting to talk about going to the city to walk on some runway....

yeah, forgot to mention this. The Mycareer story is goofy af this year.

Gameplay and new features are good but they are milking the fukk out of people that play mycareer.
Apparently it takes 250k vc just to get to an 85 overall and they took all the vc out of the quests which used to give 100k vc in total last year.
To hit 99 probably gonna cost like 500k vc.

200k vc is $50 so to max your player with animations and gear gonna cost like $150. And the nba games they want you to grind only give 500 vc per game. To max out you'd need to play approximately 1000 nba games which last around 23 minutes each on 5 min quarters.
That's 383 hours of grinding...unless you pay...

Doesn't surprise me. This is what I expected. They actually gave good VC in the story mode last year on next gen. I'm all the way back to on this hoe ass company.

It's even worse this year because some badges and animations are tied to overalls. For example, I have an 83 three pointer right now and can't unlock silver limitless range without an 85 three. Complete BS.

Nah thats on purpose and not an issue. When they let everyone just pick badges too many people will just try and pick the most broken ones and cheese the game. They modified the builder so you actually have to have high attributes to get those broken ass badges. It made the game more balanced online. It only sucks because I think people should be allowed to have higher level badges and more badge points when the play OFFLINE because playing against the computer doesn't need to be balanced at that point its an rpg and people tryna live out their basketball power trip fantasies

The gameplay and features itself are actually good. They just shot themselves in the foot by attaching a huge pay wall to their biggest game mode.

Yeah I feel bad for people that bought this solely for mycareer. They'll have to buy vc. The Jordan challenge and the mynba eras are soo good tho.
